Yet another instance where my not liking someone turned out to be justified for reasons I didn’t anticipate.

This is why the country is in the shape it’s in. Instead of tackling issues like white collar jobs disappearing and the difficulty in finding a job, the rich pay right wing outlets to jangle the keys over trans people and immigrants to distract the slow wits from realizing their tax dollars are going to buy the CEO of Lockheed Martin a yacht.And now I gotta worry about the president bribing people to vote against their interests when he’s never gonna give the money anyway! Yeah, I agree. But my point was it was an effective attack the Dems had that they abandoned for no reason.The Dems abandon so many effective attack vectors. They could hammer Repubs on veterans affairs stuff, but they allow Repubs to pretend they care about veterans. Military barracks are full of black mold and need to be rebuilt. Dems would fund it. GOP never will.
It was very effective. And then they stopped. I assume because the consultants told them to stop. The same consultants who caused them to lose the election. But I noticed at the GOP midterm convention they kept calling democrats weird. Hmm. It’s almost like it was an effective strategy that democrats abandoned to the right for no reason.
What Americans don’t realize is that most people stopped giving a shit pretty quickly. The country music industry immediately cashed in with shitty jingoistic songs that killed off the female country wave and replaced it with male douchebags like Toby Keith. WWE ran Tribute to the Troops shows in the Middle East only to sell out to Saudi Arabia even though the Saudi Royals provided material support to the hijackers.America is a country that does not back up the morals it espouses. We forgot.

This isn’t true. He’s not setting himself up for anything because his stroke robbed him of any ability to plan ahead. He does whatever that weird Israeli guy that showed up out of nowhere and became his handler tells him to do. There’s no master plan behind Fetterman or Trump.

If the right is constantly attacking trans people and the leaders on the left don’t push back with effective messaging, then it cedes the argument to the right and the public (who are sheep, see: Trump being reelected) goes with whoever is winning the argument.
So, destroy the economy and use AI to take people’s jobs so they’re desperate and really need $5,000, then promise them $5,000 if they vote for your party. Great. Obviously he’s not going to give any money at all after he gets what he wants.I really hope this ploy doesn’t work, but my faith in most Americans is long gone. All it needs to do is spur enough people to vote to prevent the Senate from flipping. There needs to be consequences when he leaves office or America cannot recover.

Trump promised every adult American $5000 (which is $1.35 trillion) if the Republicans keep the House AND the Senate. Which is virtually impossible, but could be enough motivation to get enough troglodytes to vote and keep the Senate Republican, thus giving Trump what he wants while not meeting the criteria he put forth to pay anything out. Not that he would ever pay out that money regardless. He already promised $2k payments from tariffs.
Yeah, but I’m not being glib. I had a guy in my neighborhood who fell off his bike and ended up mentally handicapped as a result. He went from having a job and a normal life and I think even a wife to having to live with his mother because he had the mental capacity of a 4-year old. Then his mom died and his sister had to put him into a group home.But people who antagonize others don’t think about the consequences of head trauma and traumatic brain injuries and they really should.
No real crime to attend to in the UK, I see. Must be nice to live in a crime free country.

Religious political Gen Z freaks HATE women. But if she came out looking gorgeous and acting demure instead of a “girl boss” (which religious Gen Z males hate), she might’ve steered away from the rocks. But Turning Point couldn’t survive both of its founders dying. The first died from covid.
