If the wealthy paid in then they get paid out. That's the system working as intended.

I received a pension aged 16-25. I would have rather not received it, all-in-all.

I watched the scene being filmed where the brothers, as little boys, encountered the prostitutes. It was filmed in the alleyway behind my grandmother’s apartment building in Livingston. My mom went gaga over Robert Redford. It’s a nice memory.

If we bitch about rich people having access to universal programs, then we open the door to their bullshit arguments for means testing. Better to let the small number of rich people receive something they don't need than to prevent a large number of poor people from receiving something they do need.

It's a little late for that.

Thank you. This exactly.

The Billonaires are the ones funding the cuts to all social programs the poor people actually need. Your hypothsis isn't based on reality. The poor people are getting kicked off of social programs by the millions by the billonaire's puppets in government.

Yeah, that's what I said. If you make the program universal, they don't have an argument to kick people off. And means testing only makes the program more expensive than if you simply gave everyone max benefits.

The poors are being cut from programs regardless. The "don't hurt the bullies fee fees or they're gonna hurt us more" is out the window. They're destroying the working class regardless, so it would be better to bring it all up and make a huge audit if where taxes are going and why rich folks seem to get so many breaks while paying so proportionally little.

It is the cap on social security that is the problem here. The rich should have to pay in on a scale like everyone else. If someone makes more than around 180,000$ they owe no more Social Security tax than someone who makes that exact amount. The rich should pay in the same percentage as everyone else without a cap. Then the benefits they get, despite not needing them, would not sting as much bc the program could continue on w/o becoming insolvent-so the next generation gets what they paid into!

It is not "THE" problem, it is "A" problem. We can do A LOT more to increase equality, though that is a prominent one.

They've already started cutting benefits: The administration has proposed rules that could reduce or eliminate SSI benefits for certain disabled adults who live with family members receiving food assistance, Disability Access: Proposals have targeted Social Security Disability Insurance by aiming to update job definitions and reduce consideration of age. Staff reductions at the agency have also led to fewer disability claims being processed.

Ok. We don't need made up shit, they're already repugnant assholes.

It happened to a relative of mine. You can’t find it because it was in the 1970s and if it was ever reported in any newspaper, it was never transcribed online that I ever found.
