Reductions in state and federal funding have piled debt on students and the pathways to jobs have been delimited substantially in an incredibly tumultuous job market. All that being said, short of the trades (carpentry, electrician, plumber,etc.) the skills one gains in college and the networking connections one makes cannot be found without a degree. We could choose to make college free, that would be good. But without those connects only the rich will prosper.
Food, medical care, and shelter are not scarce resources. We choose to make them so and could live happily together sharing them. Every day we don't do that is a choice.

Just started therapy and meds, y'all, and I gotta say despite the fact that I'm going through a ton. Never felt like I got more people to talk to. Keep your heads and get support. Y'all are worth it.
True, but tbh I teach college in CA and we're all watching what we say so we don't get fired. People don't want to hear stuff that displeaes them anymore. I still say stuff but it's always in the back of my mind.
