To give a bit of practical info: bears have extremely thick hides backed by hundreds of pounds of fat. Low caliber rounds cannot penetrate this outside of a miracle shot to some parts of the head. Peter canonically carries several tools tailored to certain enemy weaknesses. A sticky EMP to take down shocker, little disc speakers that emit a piercing wail for venom/carnage, he even had mini seeking missiles to take down goblins glider at one point. He just likes to play a bit to much to instantly resort to these things (also carnage is unusually resistant to klyntar weaknesses and often needs extra steps).
Doing the opposite of what he says to do can get you far in life.
