Pippin tax

Today's message from Pippin: "Pippin. PIPPIN!"
____
1) Are you on the run to a safe place and passing through Arizona on your way to safer grounds? My apartment is open to you to crash at, and it is a safe space. Pippin and I will make you a meal and gladly share tea, wine, or mead with you.

2) Hey! Take your meds with a full glass of water, please. Do it for Pippin, or Space Mom, or better yet, do it for yourself.

3) Ĝefeloað wē. We will carry on.

4) all funds from the sales of items at these two links will be sent to support charities aiding to fight for Trans rights in the US (not just T-shirts!)

#21 I'm sure this guy was originally targeting women with his post but even as a meme about native plant gardening I hate this take and I hate this man

#9 This is one way Jews tend to be different than Christians. Jew are typically more willing to truly study and debate the Torah and come to conclusions of this nature than Christians are the Bible.

#46 Whenever I get stuck in a bad memory or thought, like say I'm trying to sleep and my brain is being bad. I just say to myself, "box it up throw it away" and imagine workers boxing up my thoughts and tossing them into massive fires. It works too.

#27 Per Wikipedia, evidence for soap is getting on for 5000 years old. So, Plato and Socrates could easily have described the taste as "soapy". That said, there's evidence for coriander consumption going back 8000 years, so there were probably some neolithic people going "yuck that tastes nasty, but nothing like I've ever had before"

It also works wonders against my itching. Just like 2 hands full in 5 liter water, and poor it all over you. (But skip your hair, that just don't feel right.)

#47 in college I had a bad habit of leaving my papers for a day or 2 before knowing I could pump them out. 20 pages on Oprah’s history and business skills decisions? 15 on a comparison between various economic philosophies? When the sun is sleeping and the world quiet the writer turns caffeine into words.

#47 I'm biology faculty at the local community college & currently works at the tutoring center. I have to say the brain rot is real. I can't blame the students since the entire environment around them is eroding their abilities but is is frikkin' infuriating to see how these unilaterally imposed technologies are doing real harm to their ability to think & function.

Talk like that makes it seem like "christian men" are speedrunning extinction.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why not? Find that Christian man who looks at you as an earthen vessel. Sign up for your own subjugation. Sounds great, not dehumanizing at all.

#16 Those are Royal Riviera pears. They're ripe for approximately 10 minutes before going bad, but if you can hit the window they're best pears that exist.

#21 the day I take anything that a man called Dale Partridge says seriously is the day you shall carry me to my tomb and roll the stone in front of it.

You can safely discard everything from and about conservative pastor Dale Partridge, who believes that women should not vote and the 19th Amendment should be repealed.

Just googled him and, yes wow he's terrible, but so he's American? Interesting, I thought everyone with a name that aggressively twee was required by law to be British.

#47 In my day, you didn't need ChatGPT to BS your way to a mandatory page or word count. You relied on last minute panic.

A friend and I once wrote a script to a skit we had to act out in order to sell a made up product for our high school communication class...in the class the day we had to present it, while everyone else was doing their skits or presenting their videos. We got a near perfect score, and our teacher even wrote that it was well prepared. Had to put in *work* for that level of bullshittery, and it's a damn shame to give that feeling of success away to a hallucinating word-vomit machine.

last minute panic makes for some great improvisation, “nothing to lose, everything to gain”. At 14 I had to write a paper on a music style, had no internet, and I just made it up with what I thought sounded right, got a decent grade!

I needed to do a presentation explaining how something worked complete with a prop for a class. I lived in the Chicago area at the time. I literally just grabbed my i-pass transponder, brought it in, and started talking about it with no preparation.
