Your mums tactic was certainly one way to manage it! I have spoken to my niece and she doesn’t want to cut it. She doesn’t have a mum in the picture so I don’t think anyone has actually taught her how to look after her hair. I taught her today and we also talked about the importance of looking after long hair or the option of shorter hair. I’ll see her again in 2 weeks so will see how it is.
I talked to her about cutting it and she really doesn’t want to, she said she loves her long hair but doesn’t like to brush it because it hurts. She doesn’t have a mother in the picture and my brother doesn’t have a clue so I don’t think anyone has ever taught her how to look after her hair. So I gave her the bottle of detangler and a good brush and taught her how to do it. I’m hoping now that she has a “fresh start” and some detangler it will help her learn to look after her hair.

Huge difference between being brutally honest and blatantly rude. I’d say the passive aggression of this job add will also be a common occurrence in verbal communication.

Thank you for your words! We both really try to do the right thing for our son. I couldn’t imagine this kind of fighting and how terrible and traumatic it must be for the kids involved. As much as my ex and I weren’t the right people for each other romantically, We are still a family, and that means we are a team - With everyone’s best interest at heart. I think sometimes people lose sight of that, that the goal isn’t to win an ego game, but to create the best life for everyone involved. And

Growing up we had them wrapped in newspaper paper too, but there was a buffer plain paper between chips and newspaper that made it seem okay *shrug*
They’re chickens! And they’re separated from the dogs but when they’re together they just ignore each other
My reliance on autocorrect has stricken again.
It’s a Japanese plum that grew from a seed. Only a weed if you don’t want it there :)
I recorded this to send to my long distance partner - we record ourselves doing mundane tasks to send each other to feel like we are a part of each others daily lives - I don’t generally post them on the internet I just found this particular clip to be slightly humorous looking :)

Somedays I record myself doing inane things to send to my long distance partner so she can feel like she was a part of my day (and vis versa) and this was just something I found looked funny in this particular clip. I don’t care too much for fake internet points, I just like the idea that it might bring a smile or a chuckle to someone else’s day as it did to mine :)
