Most are. But yeah, they sound like a "joy" to work with. I also note they don't want to cheapen the discussion by mentioning pay. I would assume they would prefer you do it for the experience. But if you insist they'll pay you the minimum mandated by law. And then complain about how no one wants to work anymore.

Common sense is just your learned biases. There is no such thing as "Common sense." Saying common sense is rare these days just means you have some uncommon biases that create friction with people.

Sounds like a frustrated manual labor company owner. Probably brutally honest, willing to teach, doesn’t suffer fools or lazy shits and has a good head on their shoulders. Excellent boss, probably.

Huge difference between being brutally honest and blatantly rude. I’d say the passive aggression of this job add will also be a common occurrence in verbal communication.

Perhaps. Won’t know unless you work there. Therefore, I would err on the side of a positive expectation, as opposed to an assumption of a negative one. If you expect a negative experience, you look for excuses to validate your assumption.
