If you need someone to talk to, I’m here. If you’ve just lost someone, and need some advice on dealing with it, or just want to vent to a random stranger, I can help. If you want some advice on launching a business, I can help you with that too! I always love helping new entrepreneurs get access to resources and info that they need to get their project off the ground. And I like cats. So send me Pictures of your cat!
In short, in the US, we’re buying literally everything with money we don’t have. The value of the dollar could flip on a dime, and we’re not the ones in control of that coin toss because we don’t own our own debt anymore.
It’s not a great situation, to be blunt.
I’m going to be pedantic. I apologize in advance.
Money is now entirely abstracted from reality. Our money, on a global layer, doesn’t exist as anything but a convenience.
There are goods and services - things with tangible value & utility. Money has agreed upon value. The value is facilitating exchange of goods and services, that’s it.
In the case of the US, we have SOME exports of value, but not much at this point. Our debt instruments are just a really convenient way to facilitate trade.
It sounds like this is just feeding potential innocents into the billionaire murdering machine, and oh boy that is not a sentence I ever thought I would write.
Either you change the system or we’re just murdering people who otherwise wouldn’t have become billionaires.
Gotta go back to the robber barons, deep 6 a few Rockefeller and JP Morgan types - VERY publicly - and keep doing that forever. Or just… make examples of a few politicians and ensure we get proper legislation preventing this.
Cover me in sauce. I want it. I can handle it.
I second the Wyze recommendation. They are inexpensive and have been utterly rock solid in my experience. Get a basic weatherproof model. You don’t need PTZ, you do need memory card recording. The simpler it is, the less there is to break.
You can get solar systems for them. If you need that, budget it in.
You could also go the game camera route - they trigger on motion. Who knows, you might even see some cool wildlife!
If you have questions, DM. I’ve been down this EXACT road before.
I don’t know what it means. Would you mind telling me anyway? I don’t contribute to Wikipedia, because I am a parasite living off of the good people who do, but I do donate to keep it running!
Hang on. When did the Christians get space lasers? Did they launch their own or steal the Jewish space lasers? How many space lasers are there now?
Ummmmm WHAT
Thank you for pointing that out! I’m a man, and I have done this in the past. I try really hard not to at this point. We’re all capable of this, and probably do it without having any idea it’s happening 90% of the time
Thank you for sharing this. I struggle with a similar challenge with my girlfriend. She is often waiting for me to ask, and my view is, I don’t know what you’re waiting for. Tell me what you need. I understand it’s not organic, but it is functional. And we would’ve avoided a lot of fights. Some stuff is on me to figure out. But I don’t expect anyone in my life to understand what’s happening in my fishbowl of a brain. I will share it if I want it in the open. It is easier this way.
… I don’t want to Google this, but I need to know more. I’m sorry to ask for details and thank you in advance.
Fuckkk. We will never un-do the damage from that BS. We handed our adversaries the keys to the kingdom on a platter.
It means they live here:
“The abyssal zone is the vast, pitch-black layer of the ocean extending from 3,000 to 6,000 meters (9,800 to 20,000 feet) deep. Covering about 60% of the Earth's surface, it is the largest habitat on the planet. It is characterized by perpetual darkness, near-freezing temperatures, and extreme, crushing hydrostatic pressure.”
Not somewhere you want to be as a squishy.
Sauce? I haven’t seen that.
Thank you for explaining this. We still have fire control officers in multiple flavors. “If they can see it, we can kill it” isn’t literally the motto of any of them, but it aptly describes the relationship between them and the people delivering ordinance.
Note: it’s not just guns. They call in strikes of every kind. Air, missiles, all things that go boom.
The most dangerous weapon in any modern military force remains… the radio. Absolutely unmatched.
Don’t tell the mice. We should own this one and sign the book deals and speaking tour contract before they find out.
Seriously what the fuck yo. I lived in NYC for 10 years and never saw hint of a kebab as legit as the ones I’ve seen videos of here. Granted I didn’t go LOOKING, but I did walk everywhere and was always scooping restaurants. Halal street carts everywhere, not a legit kebab in sight.
Northern VT is close as well. I could handle this. It’s the other version that I wouldn’t do so well with. I need nighttime, that’s when the world leaves me alone.
Sadly I can’t hear gifs when they’re posted as comments. Did she give it a raspberry?
Side note - does everyone in America call it a raspberry, or is this a northeastern thing? If you don’t call it a raspberry, what do you call it? Mouth fart sound just doesn’t… doesn’t sound great.
Meme me no to get?
Pleased to explain.
What’s the reference here.
Son of a bitch stole my line.
The irony of that last sentence, intended or by happenstance, is delightful.
One of my undergrad degrees is in economics. Many economic models rely on an absurd principle to make the math work - that people are perfectly rational in their behavior.
Why do they make this assumption? Because it’s impossible to model irrational behavior, so it’s simply written off and ignored by saying “people are perfectly rational and therefore this is close enough.”
It’s nonsense.
What is a TERF?
I crave it like a strawberry sundae at the beach on the last day of August, when your mom has a few extra bucks and can afford a treat - so she turns to you, under the white and blue umbrella that stands watch over copper-toned sand and faded beach towels, marking this little patch of shade where the smells of salt and sunscreen mix as belonging to you and her, if only for the day, and asks, “do you want to get ice cream?”
You have convinced me to try this.
This is a Special Response Team, and I don’t think they’re ICE. They may have been deployed in support of ICE, but I don’t think these guys are ICE themselves.
They actually were properly kitted, equipped, and are carrying highly specialized gear. ICE is just teenagers with an inferiority complex and off shelf AR15s.
Whether these guys are in DHS chain of command… I don’t know. They could be. Or they could be a local agency SRT.
Not with gas.
Gas is a perfectly homogeneous product for 99% of consumers. Few products are identical in the eyes of consumers - meaning the goods are perfect substitutes - and competition is based solely on price.
There’s no distinction between gasoline at the pump unless you need some kind of ultra-premium high octane or ethanol free.
Homogeneous products are rare examples where free market competition generally works as advertised.
That is spot on. Well done.
