I assume that is because none of them is shallow and has a blue paintjob at he bottom. So you get this neat, vibrant algea chlorophyll green with backlighting from the reflected light from the bottom. The shallowness, due to the temperature rising easier, and the lighr reflected back up, hence the UV radiation passing the water twice, might also benefit the algea growth. But I guess the big fuckup is the backlighting effect.
