And that's part of the issue - not everyone *wants* to put in the hours or do the work to learn how to do something well, and AI promises them that it can do what they want, with a minimum of effort on the person's part.
Because a significant portion of the politicians and rich *don't* want people getting education at all - they'd rather have stupid serfs that don't know how much they're being exploited over people who not only have knowledge, but the critical thinking to resist that exploitation.
