I’ve another take on that. 1. He thinks tariffs will work, cause he’s an idiot, but importantly 2. His military strong man mentality lives in the early 1900’s, he believes the world will submit to his worldview and pay or eliminate the debts cause “America and everything he’s done.” Or 3 - very dangerous, mad max style expedition of climate and global population decline rendering actual current money style trade irrelevant.
