Nope, looked it up, even older than that. 1862 is when it was "popularized".
This is old technology. Iirc, developed by Disney for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Yes?
The Omen. This is during Damien's birthday party. Damien is the Antichrist.
$1 per strip, that ain't bad
Apparently, since (on paper, of course we can't trust) the deal is about civilian nuclear cooperation, that places it under the purview of the US Atomic Energy Act. Under that, civilian nuclear cooperation deals take effect immediately unless a joint resolution of Congress blocks it. That would only require a majority of both houses of Congress, but a veto of that resolution would be inevitable, which requires a ⅔ super majority to overturn. So they just jumped ahead in the process explanation.
Also confirming. Just went in, I mean literally after seeing this post, my online portal to schedule my annual physical. First available appointment is Oct 21. THREE MONTHS. I have to plan my regular preventative care a quarter of a year in advance, and if something comes up 2 weeks before, rescheduling pushes it back another month or 2. Which really sucks because I have to see my doctor for him to re-prescribe my BP meds, every year.

Standard time is objectively better. 1- it's called "standard" for a reason, it's not the special case. 2- pushing sunrise an hour later in winter, when days are shorter, means most will be at work for an hour or 2 before the sun rises. Better for our health to drive to work with the sun up or rising than still in the dark.

Common myth. While the skin is nutrient dense, the flesh contains the majority of the nutrients. However, it is still good to keep the skin on as the main loss from peeling is fiber (about half the total fiber in the potato) and we all need more fiber. https://potatogoodness.com/fact-check-potato-nutrition-in-skin-vs-flesh/
Outside of commercial kitchens there isn't a market for it. Basically no home cook is regularly peeling enough potatoes to justify the expense and storage space for a single use appliance of that size
Reminds me of Zee Bashew's "Cult Procession" https://youtube.com/shorts/TBlYxdxK88U
That remount at ~0:22 was smooth af.
No you weren't. You were welcome to sit on the edge and dip your feet in, but walking in the pool would result in fines.

That is not the woman filming. I doubt that's even the music they are dancing to. There is no other sound coming through despite all those people there murmuring, shuffling around, etc. You can't even hear the guys dancing

Those were sacrificial boards. There is one on top and one behind the feed direction.
I don't think Yosemite Sam ever did.
Pretty sure the rule is only one foot must be touching the floor.
Also, this isn't a security camera's aspect ratio. So any "camera movement" (not vibrations) is just the cropped in aspect ratio moving across the full frame. All the big vibrations coincide with people getting up or sitting down. This is definitely the security camera feed.
Pretty much. Say I have $10mil invested and earning 5% annually. That is $500k per year. A very comfortable lifestyle, but (for simplicity) we have to use all the income to maintain that lifestyle and provide privelage and advantage for our kids. We cannot reinvest any. So now 30-40 years down the road my (say) 2 kids inherit and have $5mil each. At 5% $250/year sounds great now, but in 40 years will it be enough to not work and provide for a family comfortably? Then the next generation?
