#42 My first reaction was utter glee at how goofy and probably fun it would be to find a guy with Hello Kitty energy to be my partner. Strangely, the realization that I'm personally not a match to the Scream mug didn't hit until quite a bit later. Came out of that set of thoughts like Robin in Jumanji: "What year is it?!" I'd been somewhere far, far away.
#18 Tapuat. I was obsessed with drawing this for about a month or two when I was 8.
#37 Yeah.....
#23 I'm coming out of a super dark place. I spent about 3 months believing I was slowly dying.I figured it out about 3 weeks ago that the pharmacy switched manufacturers on one of my meds toward the beginning of the year, the "new" one uses fillers my body does NOT like. Mitochondrial dysfunction is a special kind of hell...
Does painting "feed" a part of you? Maybe selling it shouldn't be the main goal?I dunno. I'm just trying to distract myself from stuff, don't mind me if I'm way off base.
#36 I have coworkers who use the phrasing, "May you [imperative command]."This l the first time it confused but when a second person said it I thought, "Ah, bilingual thing. I wonder if I should tell them it's 'Could you [imperative command]?'?"(I decided against it. Literally not my job.)
Maybe that's the straw that finally broke the camel's back. Maybe I'll finally be free of this place from now on... 🤔In that case: instead of irritation I offer thanks. So long, and thanks for all the fish!
#36 .........how did you get a picture of my house?
#19 I once looked up the Bristol Stool Chart years ago. Google then suggested multiple items I could buy with that image on them: lunchbox, baby bib, t-shirt, shower curtain (possibly my favorite), cooking apron, wall clock, cell phone case, throw pillow...
They might be silicone, they could function well as fidgets.
Looks like they're reusable "ice cubes", but I'm not sure.
I walked through my place, pointing and muttering, "There's a pile... there's a pile... ooh, another pile!"
#43 So many piles...
#44 Cue Ogham entry in manuscript that simply says, "Latheirt."
#28 Last time I did that I slipped and one of my feet went down a bizarre, byzantine crevice created by many rocks until my pinky toe got wedged and pinched between two, halting the process. The nail of that toe eventually fell off because a new one grew under it.
#42 But wouldn't that be judging a past version of them considering they're selling the books, not keeping them?Perhaps they thought similar things about their past self, but hey, maybe they can make a little extra cash selling the things they've outgrown...
My favorite thing about #2, second to the fact that it's amusing, is that his real smile still transfers to the drawn-on one in a fairly natural way.
#18 She sounds a lot like Granny from Looney Toons.
Majestic!
#38 I will freely admit I'm not at my mental best today (sleep has been especially jacked over the past 2 weeks, dealt with the stress of two sick dogs and the knowledge it's my fault, brain acting up because that's just what it does), so I'm unsure if this is an honest commentary on a part of today's culture using symbolism or a cheeky short horror-esque story... Could be both. I may never know.Gimme 5 minutes and I'll probably forget I ever saw this.
I had a phone that allowed pictures to be taken without flipping it open, just point and press the camera button on the side. I can't tell you how many pics of the inside of my purse or backpack I ended up with on that thing.
I wasn't a fan of that filter. I'm not hyper-feminine looking but somehow the filter made me look like an effeminate man. Which isn't to say there's anything wrong with that. But yeah, I make an ugly dude. lol
EMDR was amazing. I actually don't remember much of what I talked about because it was about 20 years ago.I do remember the therapist said I had a tendency to be going quite negative and dark, then I would suddenly do an about face (often with an insightful joke) and be in a good or at least better place after that. It's knowledge I've clung to over the years, and it still shows up.I'm very glad you're feeling better!
#44 Had a meltdown yesterday for this very reason.Finding out our fridge doesn't work right (probably hasn't for years) and the temp in there has been too high for true "food safety" made this sisyphean struggle that much harder. ("Finding something to eat and eating it shouldn't be a big deal. Even a toddler could do it." Oh, I'm fully aware of that. Very, very, very aware.... [eyes glaze over and just stares off in space])Wash, rinse, repeat at least 3x a day. T_T
#34 Moon. Powerful, but doesn't have to be all loud about it unlike some others....
#45 I'm sorry, that's not supportive clothing at all! And I'm supposed to leap bulls in that getup? I'm gonna be looking like I'm frantically waving for help and I don't mean with my hands...
#20 I'd probably wonder aloud how I'd never picked up on it that they didn't know my name, then wish them luck in figuring it out. Possibly roasting them every now and then if they're a friend.A person's name is so finite in comparison to the other things that make them an individual, you know? Yeah, my name is Vanessa, but that's the name of probably thousands of other girls/women, too. And I suck with names, too. 😬
My laughter brings all the dogs to the yard...
My laughter has now summoned the second dog from the other room.
#13 I started laughing at this loud and long enough that one of my dogs got concerned. Wooooo.
