When I told my dad we were having a baby girl he cried with happiness. Two years later he still hadn't met her because his girlfriend refused to let him get the COVID shot. He finally got it, and has flown here to meet her a few times, but he won't get the booster. And now he can't fly because of complications from shingles, because he didn't get that vaccination either.

If you're looking for a great children's book with queer characters, check out "Mr. Watson's Chickens". Illustrations rich in detail, and fun and hilarious. I've read it with my daughter a hundred times and she has never commented on the fact that it's a gay household. She just sees a story of two men who love and care for each other and who have to deal with having too many chickens.
At the college where I work there was an incident where a freshman in the dorms tried to make friends by knocking on doors and sprinkling glitter on people when they answered.

Didn't take long before someone had to quibble about what an assault rifle is. If it helps, assault rifle is a metaphor here.

I got a loaner car last year, a 2025 Subaru. I couldn't figure out the giant touch screen panel for the heat controls. All I could do was toggle the heat on and off as needed. Later, I watched an excited youtuber explain it all. It took 10 minutes.
