Yeah, not everyone responds well to it. My husband doesn't like how it makes him feel either, while in contrast it takes very little alcohol for my stomach to start getting upset with me, while he's happy having a few beers or whatever.
Yeah, I haven't seen any in a long time. I'm not even sure if I've seen anyone with any pot-leaf accessories in years, even.
#5 I don't like being fully stoned, but a quick puff on a vape or a low strength edible before going for a walk in the forest with the dogs feels lovely. Hard to explain it exactly, but if you've ever seen the video of a golden retriever just going about the yard, exploring things, while the Parks and Rec theme plays, it kinda feels like that.
Just as an anecdote, I was googling a toothpaste I bought, because the water here isn't fluoridated so I wanted toothpaste with a reasonably high amount. I got one, which had two varieties of fluoride in it, and I was curious what each one does, if they're synergistic somehow, and so on, so I did a search for it. The AI summary that popped up with it told me that particular toothpaste doesn't exist, as I was holding the bottle in my hand.
They make lights and bulbs now where you can easily switch the colour temperature, too. I love them. I'll have nice bright daylight colours in the kitchen when I'm preparing food and such, then switch them to a nice warm orange in the evening, for example.
This is true for a lot of car problems, too. I had a wiper motor fail a little while back, brought it in to be diagnosed, and between parts and labour they wanted a bit over $500 CAD to fix it. Out of curiosity, I looked for a tutorial on how to change it, and how much the part was.I could get the part for under $200, and it was literally three bolts and one easy to connect plug. It took me 10 minutes. I'm not capable of rebuilding an engine or anything, but not everything is THAT complicated.
The video is a joke, not real. The whole point is for it to be absurb, but have just enough reality to it (old attitudes to weed + everyone in the 80s seemingly being a chainsmoker) to make you not quite sure it's fake.
I've seen men look less gay than this with my dick in their mouth, and he's supposed to be all about that alpha male straight bullshit? Really? Gurl.
All this shit, all to be a 48-year-old man who looks like a 48-year-old man who made sure to put on sunscreen every day.He doesn't look BAD, by any means, but I'm not going to be mistaking him for 35. If asked to guess, I might guess he's younger than he is by a few years, but not by a decade or more.
Huskies are great dogs, for the right people. Too many people hear "high energy" and think of a golden retriever or a labrador when they want to play fetch, and that's not right. You can get that, too, but it's more the fact that in order for me to have a "calm" husky, we walk a minimum of 10km per day, do multiple puzzles, have playtime, and he gets nearly-unlimited outside time with his brother. And he's still a bossy little shit, who will absolutely get himself in trouble sometimes.
I thought I'd done my research. I thought I'd gotten an understanding by dog-sitting a husky. My neighbours growing up had two that I spent a lot of time with. I was still not prepared for the first time my sweet, obedient, OH SO SMART little boy visibly heard me and decided, "No," when asked to do something he'd done perfectly before. This same boy learned to open zippers by himself when we were camping and he decided he wanted to see what that weird noise was in the dark.
#1 Respectfully, no thanks. There's more Trump-voting Republicans in California than there are people in my entire PROVINCE. You can keep them.
I was curious about the effect, if any, of toothpaste containing two different types of fluoride, because I'd bought some Colgate with it in part because idiots got the city to stop adding it to water a long time ago. Google's AI overview told me Colgate makes no such toothpaste, as I held the bottle in my hand, until I specifically used the variations full name.AI can be really fucking unreliable.
I think a big problem a lot of Americans are missing when they talk about "blue" and "red" states is that NONE of them are truly that unanimous. Vermont was the "bluest" state in the last election, and 1/3 of the votes still went to Trump. Every single other state was redder than that. California, by virtue of sheer population, has more Trump-voting Republicans than Texas. The call is coming from inside the house, there's a deep, deep rot that needs to be addressed, not just Trump himself.
I got bitten by a few dogs as a kid, but frankly all but one of the times were my own fault for being dumb and not listening when the dog was telling me, "No", so I don't blame them. The one that DID bite me unprovoked was a golden retriever we'd briefly adopted when he was already an adult dog. But, the dog they'd gotten me as a companion when I was a baby was also a golden, and SHE went absolutely feral defending me when he did that, so I never developed any fear of them, thankfully.
Oh, that's good, then. I'm in Canada, hence not being sure. I just ASSUME it's not in the US, for most people at least.I did quickly check, and apparently our province DOES cover it if it's for documented medical reasons, so chances are she didn't have to pay anything if she was having back problems and the like. And I learned you don't actually need to be 18 yet, as long as you're done growing, so she may just have elected to graduate first so she didn't need to deal with that as well.
Her family owned/owns a reasonably successful vinyard, so I imagine that helped with affording it, haha. Though I wonder if it'd be covered here, since at that point I think it probably counts as a legitimate quality-of-life concern and not just cosmetic. I never thought to look into it, or ask.
Hey, he's defying stereotypes, he's a queer man who made an outfit faux pas. /s
I went to high school with a girl who had H cups. And the poor thing loved playing rugby.I don't think I'd ever seen someone as happy as she seemed after she turned 18 and got her breast reduction done.
"Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go." - Oscar WildeI used to go try to take the high road. Fuck that. The people I would now wish that upon are the same people who HAVE wished it upon me, and have a tendency to quote the Bible about things. So to make another quote, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." - Matthew 7:12.I'm just doing what they say they believe I should do.
If they're still willing to do it in the US in the current environment, then I'd argue it's at least not *entirely* performative anymore. Likely still being done based on financial metrics and they think they'll make more money by supporting it, but it's not like there's zero risk for doing so anymore, so it's something.Doesn't take away from *other* problems they may have, like sweatshop labour and so on, but stopped clock and all that.
I was about to say, Hitler was an animal lover, but that doesn't make him any less of a genocidal tyrant.
I'd add the caveat that not everyone responds the same way, and the dosage can be very important. The same dose that gets me pleasantly buzzed will have my husband falling over himself giggling, and will make one of my friends into an anxious mess, and I don't have a particularly high tolerance.I still absolutely prefer it to being drunk, especially now that I'm older and if I get a hangover, it's a two-day affair, and because I don't get munchies, so it's better for my waistline, haha.
One of the things I'm really happy my province did was make it mandatory to state the salary range in the ad. You're not allowed any weasel words like "market rate" or whatever, it has to be numbers.
I think part of it is that hiring a mediocre artist still involves art being created, even if not by you, or not GREAT art. GenAI inherently can't create art, based on the definition in this post, so in that sense the comparison is still kinda insulting to the theoretical artist. Though I think they meant it in the sense that using it doesn't make you an artist any more than hiring someone else makes you one.
I've always thought that if I get to the point where my death is near, and I'm suffering enough that it's getting to no longer be worth dealing with it, I hear heroine feels amazing the first time. So just give me some of that, give it long enough for me to enjoy the euphoria, then overdose me on something that'll just put me unconscious and let me pass away peacefully.
It's actually real, though that picture of meth almost certainly was just one the Twitter account grabbed because of the Breaking Bad quick reference. His name was Duane Johnson, and he got 3 years for it, though it sounds like they took it easy on him and gave him a lesser sentence, considering the circumstances.https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/duane-johnson-who-held-meth-fueled-death-party-for-wife-sentenced-to-3-years/
You'd lose, then. It's real, the guy is Duane Johnson, and he was sentenced to 3 years for this.https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/duane-johnson-who-held-meth-fueled-death-party-for-wife-sentenced-to-3-years/
I've got the opposite. My husky will stand there fairly stoically, occasionally giving me a kiss, and accept his fate. My golden will tremble, and scramble, and whine, and look at me like he's being punished for some reason. I loves OTHER water, but not a bath or a swimming pool.
I'm across the border, but fuck, I'll hide a fugitive. It's going to be summer soon, I have a pool, we have legal weed and I'm a good baker, we'll have a great time celebrating.
