I don't know about "comfortable" or "relaxed". I only used that light because the lighting in my kitchen when I was a kid was awful and there was no lighting over the stove.

I left mine on over night every night cause it was the perfect amount of light to light the kitchen and hallway. Need to pee? Theres enough light. Water? Kitchen is perfectly lit. But, they dont make LED bulbs for over range. So, I put LED lights under the cabinets that I can adjust to a dim level. Its great.

We had a stove that actually had a light built in just over the knobs on the back panel and we left that on all the time if someone was going to be out late. The stove was also this weird yellow called Harvest Gold. Unit must have been from the 1970s.

90s? They're still present here afaik. Only thing that changed was the addition of a kitchen fan and a retractable glass shield for splatter. Wasn't aware that they went out of "style" elsewhere.

The light is the clock and timer and everything. i bet the the new model is improved and 50% brighter yet. The LED on that range is green which is better at night. The range hood is a nice comforting color tho.

Ah, yeah that's unlikely to be a separate bulb you can just unplug. If its the cheapest option they picked you'd likely have to desolder the LED chips themselves and that's very annoying to do. And also definitely voids the warranty.

I leave it on when theres leftovers cooling in the microwave that need to be put in the fridge overnight, so I don't forget about them. If I see the light on when I inevitably go for a late night cup of water or whatever, I know to check and put them away if needed.

Light in the image looks about 2000K. I always found that tint harsh and ugly. I swapped all the lights for 5000K sunlight bulbs ages ago but 3000K looks like it might be a sweet spot. I have no idea what the oven light is though. I never changed that one. It's not orange.

For kitchen, 4500k is good. Colors look "right". Vegetables look like vegetables. Living room, 3000k. Workshop also around 4500k. Bedroom 2700k or lower. Except for the cleaning light, which is 4500k or higher.

They make lights and bulbs now where you can easily switch the colour temperature, too. I love them. I'll have nice bright daylight colours in the kitchen when I'm preparing food and such, then switch them to a nice warm orange in the evening, for example.
