Those are much more than 4000cc. 4000cc is just barely bigger than a gallon, so if those hands belong to anyone other than a small child, then the implants are several gallons each.
Excuse me for a second, but what the fuck is going on with this image? It's the actual post, inside a useless rounded square which is apparently the post of someone else that didn't even comment anything, with a blue gradient background. Who made this?
We have laws for everything. 800cc is technically the limit. A surgeon can overfill a saline implant and take it to 1000cc’s. Under special circumstances a mastectomy patient can get over 1400cc’s. For bigger somewhere other than the US will be required.
A doctor with morals and a backbone. Ex of mine got a boob job and her doctor absolutely refused to put implants that were way to disproportioned to her body or could cause huge health issues down the line.
What do you mean, lol. They're each wider than the person behind them! A sphere 0.5m in diameter is over 65L, or 65450cc. I think that's closer to the actual amount. 8000cc would be closer to 25cm diameter.
Oops, got mixed up with @vindik8or's comment. at 4000cc each, that'd be even smaller at less than 20cm. These are clearly at least an order of magnitude more than what's stated.
This wouldn't be their first set of implants; the recipient will already have quite large ones currently. And, typically, with saline implants, they would fill them after insertion.
As long as a psych Dr signs off on it, then the surgeon has no moral right to say no. His job is literally to do body mods to order. Imagine a Dr who tells a trans person no because they want to go from a flat chest to a B cup or from a HH to a flat chest? And yes I believe a informed and sane adult can decide for themselves this type of thing. Do I agree with 4kcc implants? No, but I wont stop you from doing you.
A doctor has no obligation to perform cosmetic surgery on anyone and can always say no. They should say no to this mostly for safety reasons. And they do, which is why people go to countries with black market or unregulated clinics to do this kind of shit to themselves.
There's some murky territory with things like Body Integrity Dysphoria, where people feel an overwhelming urge to get a certain limb amputated (despite no dysfunction of the limb). The ethics of that are... controversial. I can imagine a psychiatrist and a surgeon disagreeing in a case like that, with both having merits to their argument.
I absolutely can not see a psychiatrist 'signing off' on the surgery. Sure they might agree that the patient *has* that condition, but the cure isnt having the surgery. That would be a mental illness disqualifying them from being able to select that surgery. My wife had to do 30 hours of therapy and 5 with a psychiatrist to get gastric bypass, so no, i just can not see it. Not a *good* psychiatrist anyhow, im sure there are plenty of quacks and scummy ones around that you can slip a few bucks to
Any woman who wants implants like this, has mental health issues that really need to be addressed first. They aren't "sexy", they WILL cause massive pain for her, including headaches, sore neck, back pain and more.
I think it is a mistake to frame it this way. Without enough evaluation you can't just lump everyone in this manner. "It's mental illness" is ideologically lazy.
I remember reading about a model who got gigantic implants, back in the late '90s. Not only did she have the massive back and neck pain you describe, she couldn't sleep lying on her back. She had to sleep sitting up, otherwise they'd crush the breath out of her.
I read about her again, sometime in the past 10 years, because she'd wound up committing suicide.
Maybe? Did she ever do a talk show segment in the US, where she took a shower onstage (while wearing a bathing suit) with an audience member who wanted to shower with her, with his head between her boobs?
Hah, not gonna happen. Not going to let you end up throwing up due to a picture of me, and later demanding compensation for the mental damage. I am FUCKING UGLY (and proud of it!)
The problem is how do you draw the line. That's the same argument some people use against trans surgery. Even more traditional size ones come with a slew of risks a person has to accept. And what we think is or isn't sexy isn't a valid reason to control someone else. It's a tough situation.
For trans surgery you currently often need extensive psychological evaluation before you are allowed to. For such drastic changes against any medical reason I would make this also a requirement.
Exactly this. If someone actually wants this, and they are refused because someone else thinks it's too much or that they must not be in a healthy mind to ask for it... that same logic applies in a lot of other places.
I get everyone's argument. Tbh if anyone wants to have any surgery that isn't a necessity should have to go through therapy. Tattoos, one thing. Surgery, another.
There are going to be people out there who have all the money to throw at everything and everyone until they get what they want, but at least inform them of the ramifications it may cause. If they don't want to listen, then I think at that point that's what the waivers are for.
Trans people get a psych eval before getting their surgery. Imo it'd just make sense to have the same thing for cis people who want to alter their bodies. It'll never happen though, it's a money industry that preys on insecure people.
Not all places require something like that for surgeries for trans people. I’d argue that’s the best. It wasn’t long ago that homosexuality was in the DSM. It still creates difficulty in people getting treatment if there isn’t accessible practitioners in the area, even when there is their schedules are often booked insanely far out. Gender can be unique to an individual and dictating who does and doesn’t apply for gender affirming therapy (cis and trans people) is a slippery and dangerous slope.
Speaking as a trans woman myself, and I imagine cis women probably get a similar feeling, so many people will judge you for not being feminine enough that it's tempting to just have giant boobs and have that constant affirmation. It's unhealthy at this degree of course, but sometimes the stress just makes you pause for a sec.
I've had the privilege of touching some big fake boobs on a handful of occasions, and I can say for certain that the ones that are done well are very boob-like.
You're comparing a cubic volume against a "spherical" volume and that makes a HUGE difference to the apparent size. As a test, try pouring a single box of milk into a bag/balloon and compare it to the box - still look like the same volumes?
It's a tricky thing, and likely would stumble more than a few people.
It makes a significant difference, yes, but not THAT much. If I were at work I'd post pics of me holding a square 4L container and a square 12L; these are MUCH closer to 12 than 4
Lets say the women in the background is very slim. then her hip would be about 30cm. These implants are easy the width of her hip so 30cm. Lets treat them like a Spheroid to keep it easy. Diameter of 30cm in X and z direction, 20 in y direction because flattend by own weight. Then you got about 75 000 cc or 75 liters wich sounds more like what we see
I am pretty sure that these are either not implants or a prove of concept or durability test for implants that got filled with waaaay more that someone could use to show that they wont rip (Like they do with condoms)
Im more concerned with the "BUT HOW?" Like i know skin stretches but I dont think it stretches that much. Do they do skin grafts to get the extra material? Is it a progressive one like no no you gotta start with these and work your way up to these like ear gauges?
Pretty sure you gonna have to go through a few sizes to get there. You can get ones that you can add fluid to so you can increase size without surgery. Either way, those are just way too big.
I know if you get a mastectomy for breast cancer & choose to do breast reconstruction, they might give you what they aptly call "breast expanders" right after the mastectomy or in a later surgery, and it's exactly what it sounds like. It has a port so that they can fill it repeatedly so that it expands more and more each time, and it stretches out your skin to make room for implants or tissue.
I've seen the grooves in the shoulders from the 1 ton bra straps. Awful. 🙁 I think at least for some of the people who do this to themselves, it's temporary and they go back.
Her family owned/owns a reasonably successful vinyard, so I imagine that helped with affording it, haha. Though I wonder if it'd be covered here, since at that point I think it probably counts as a legitimate quality-of-life concern and not just cosmetic. I never thought to look into it, or ask.
