Subverting expectations is great, unless it's the expectation of having a satisfying end to the thing you spent literal years watching. Comedies especially don't get to mess with happy endings often, because it reframes the entire work.

If you watch the extras to Dodgeball, they talk about wanting to end the film with the Average Joes losing the match, and how test audiences flipped their shit and hated it. Sometimes you don't get to do the unexpected thing.

I think it's "die alone," and it's working out great for me.

If, when the lights are out and no one can see what you're doing, you do good good things? You're probably a decent person. But if you wait for the very second that there will be no consequences for your actions, and take that time to be as monstrous as possible, you're a piece of shit.

That's what they're talking about. Not the "true self," just the actions someone takes when they won't be punished for them.

And doing both at the same time is often the best. A practical effect gives something for actors to react to, and can later be augmented by CGI (often better than an effect from scratch, because they can scan the practical effect AND they have lighting data for it already available).

How else will you both capture attention in an attention economy and give people something to comment about, further driving engagement?

Y'all should try a Caesar, the Canadian variant. It comes with added clam juice. Mmm, delicious clam juice.

They expect everyone, in everything, to be white. That's it.

The heroes will be men, the women will be subservient, and everyone will be white. That's their world.

How boring.

Shit like this will kill vulnerable populations first. The handicapped, the ill, the old, they all die first when systems fail. I understand wanting change, but wanting it to come via disaster will hurt innocents first, and those responsible literally last.

Make sure they stay in your body, really key to keeping them functional.

Joking aside, the thing that degrades for most people over time is range of motion, for all joints. Daily stretching is very helpful for aging without feeling old. Also remember that using a joint lubricates a joint; moderate activity levels are very good for you and maintaining functionality.

You think the sharp teeth are dentures, or natural? It doesn't change my answer, but it does offer another interesting activity.

Everything Is Title Case When You're A Dipshit (except it's never even correct title case).

That list of roles is hilarious. He played a large variety of character names, then it was clear that the Hector memes took off and suddenly he's always Hector.

Life hack: read only the first Dune because it's basically perfect.
Side benefit: you never have to keep track of Duncans Idaho.

We got Joe Rogan. Confidently completely fucking wrong, and an unthinking mouthpiece for the powerful that influence him.
