I'd also like to remind ppl that the rate is actually much higher, this is just the *reported and verified* stat. I myself likely had it but was dismissed by 2 separate doctors. A friend of mine works at a hospital analysis lab and says "doctors downplay the cyclo because the tests are annoying, labor-intensive, and expensive."
My brother and I were so lost we didn't even know there were "ages." But getting the official strategy guide that handheld and all but gave you the answers...made it a pleasantly challenging game that we did eventually beat.
Also the whole States' Rights thing was manufactured by the Daughters of Confederacy after the war, and had little bearing on reality. In fact, the Confederate government was in many ways more tyrannical than the North, such as the suspension of Habeas Corpus, mandatory drafting, impressment to seize materials for the war effort, and imposing factory quotas on businesses. They threw state rights to the wayside that modern idiots still champion.
it may ease your mind to learn that mantis shrimp, in fact, do not experience the world in trip-like hallucinogenic colors like we'd imagine. They have more rods and cones in their eyes than we do, but they don't mix colors with those inputs the way our brains do. They ain't seeing anything you're not seeing, although they are processing the images faster.
If I remember correctly, deep winter only affects the more Northern territories. Dorn is still warm enough to grow crops, which under normal non-siege conditions could be traded between cities. I don't think it's a forgone conclusion that cities are hoarding food.
The founding fathers foresaw a situation where a good/just politician was smeared and falsely convicted by his opponents and should be electable anyway. That's the theory anyway...

Regardless of whether he literally wrote this himself, he has long since made this platform the official mouthpiece of the POTUS. Everything posted on that social media account, IMO, is supposed to be an official stance of the White House. If you say that's ridiculous.. yes. I agree. It is.
for me it's kind of just.. it's not that these news stories are bad, it's that many are good responses to situations that shouldn't exist in the first place. "we saved a baby from the baby-eating machine" and all that.
I don't think they're ever described as vulture-like? They're described as very grim, warlike maidens. Definitely no angel wings though.
They also have a comparable book library to 40k. And it's wayyy easier to figure out how to field an army

It was Peak, which came out last year. After pouring through a ton of internet forums and such, and all the normal fixes (ie Proton) not working, I figured out that I would've had to fully uninstall and manually "revert" my nvidia drivers to older versions and avoid ever updating them back to the current drivers.
I bought a second hard drive for my computer to test out the waters with Linux. It overwrote the boot manager partition to my Windows for some reason. I was allllmost ready to abandon Windows until a particular Steam game my daughter plays wouldn't work. Spent the whole weekend rewriting the boot partition to get Windows back.
I'm all for these acts of protest. But I am confused; how does a general strike in Minneapolis, a city overwhelmingly sympathetic to the cause of the protestors, accomplish change?
A good explanation I heard was "Order isn't the 'good' alliance. Order is the alliance you most expect to have functioning toilets."

Thanks! Having never been there, I was wondering if locals think of the area in Civil War battle terms much (like living in Gettysburg), or is it more like "oh yeah I guess that did happen here"

It's called "Altar of Freedom". It focuses on really quick simple rules to resolve combat, and you bid points to try to activate your units before a turn clock runs out. It's meant to let you play really technical entire-army-level battles in a handful of hours.

Don't they also chew through insulation and stuff for nest materials? I had a yellow jacket nest in the corner of the attic a few years ago; we could hear "munching" in the drywall. We thought we had termites. Cut open a square in the living room...that was a mistake
Former sailor here. Can confirm that none of these ships are in the US Navy. 80% sure the guy is right at least about the Russian ships. 100% aghast that anyone would be dumb enough to mistake that Danish frigate for any US ship, there is nothing even close in any present or historical American fleet.
literally to this day I cannot tell you how to throw a grenade, and I ran 3 groups through a combat-heavy adventure. The layout is the worst!
Camped out in my brother's carpeted basement a weekend when he was moving into a new house in Ohio. Saw six of them over the course of the night. By night two I had a cot set up.

#1 Just appreciating that not only does the girl have the poor judgement to F with a copperhead, but that an entire second human completely lacked the common sense to 1)tell them to fking not do that, and 2) film it.
my guess is a frog-in-a-slowly-heating-pot situation. It's gotten worse slow enough over a long enough period that we forget this isn't normal. (BTW the analogy is flawed; frogs don't actually do that.)
I've used this line out loud in real life.. It's a hit, every time.
