As a (sadly) lifelong american, I have never heard anyone say "a quarter of three". It is always "a quarter to three". I would be exactly as confused as you to hear "a quarter of three".
It's funny how many people never notice these. For the record, yes. US, Canada, UK, and Australia all do spelling contests. Though it does seem more common in the United States. Of course we also have child beauty pageants so maybe it's just that we have more pointless competitions.

Yeah, this shit is why I abandoned all streaming services and now buy and rip all my own media to my plex server. Obviously it isn't a solution for everyone and it is by no means cheaper but at least now I can finish 3rd Rock From the Sun in peace.
Yeah, no. I'm in IT, I configured it. And we have very basic needs, everything is pretty much at default. Teams is just shit.
There is no way that's true. Basic functionality doesn't work. Notifications across different devices deliver randomly or not at all. Sometimes screen sharing doesn't work in a meeting until it is quit and re-opened. Sometimes when it auto-updates it doesn't re-open and just silently closes until you go looking for it and have to open it again. I've watched my coworker type in a message to me and hit send and nothing shows in the app until it is quit and re-opened. Win, Mac, and iOS.
It's so hard for some people on this site to just enjoy a funny skit.

Yes they do. I don't know why they do as the descriptions by the other commenters match my understanding of what it does to you but I can confirm people do use it recreationally.

Yep, I live in a very rural area and some of the businesses here still have ancient systems that are swipe only. Though, as I say that I think one of the last holdouts might've upgraded to square last time I visited.
