Not particularly. Diving is inherently a physical activity and you will likely go through your tank faster with heavy breathing from moving around. But really as long as you can fit the gear and swim well enough to pass the exam, you should be okay.

In this case 17% of 41 is easier ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Getting close isn’t too hard:10% of 40 is 4, 7% of 40 is 2.8 (7*4*10 is 28*10=280), so 6.8ish, which only took me 4-5 seconds in my head - faster than a calc.The rest of the way is harder to juggle (in my head at least), but is just 1*17% which is .17, 6.8+.17=6.97I wish we taught math like this. Sure, not nearly as easy as teaching one approach to multiplication, but way more applicable.

Yeah, we kill a crazy number of clams each year for food, as byproducts of other industries, etc. It sucks that they happened to have killed an incredible one, but it’s not unreasonable.
I think we’ll dodge this solely because Donald hates planning for the future. He’s not setting up his children for success unless it directly benefits him.
I also harbor fears about this. But there is also some hope blooming out there, and I try to believe in it and support it. Otherwise there is only a bleak sadness to my days, and I would not have what may be the best years of the rest of my life so obfuscated. I hope. All the best to you internet stranger ♥️

This, unfortunately. Not having a presence makes it less likely you’ll succeed in their eyes. They want a spotless professional presence with many accolades and contacts.

Similar experience here, but I think the big difference is the Comcasts of the world gave up on helping people or caring about their reputation. Instead they want minimal cost only :(

I think this is the right argument. Yes if everyone gets paid enough to cover basic needs, many would not work low wage jobs that are hard and potentially have a gross element. But those jobs IMHO should be well compensated. If most people don’t want to do the job, we should incentivize doing it until some do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. UBI doesn’t mean everyone gets a fancy car, it means nobody is starving and can’t afford school lunch…

They’ve run successful propaganda that raising minimum wage is bad for people making just over minimum wage. Stuff like: Make $15 an hour? If everyone starts making $12 then everything becomes more expensive and you effectively make less.It’s bs, but propaganda works. Particularly well on people who are downtrodden :(.

It was unfortunately not a slam dunk. Our legal system is extremely deficient for those in elected positions. The gentlemen’s agreements of working towards a better country or nobody would bother voting for you don’t work in modern days where media is bought, and politicians all bribed to some level or another. I suspect a revolution is the only way to modernize this :(
