#30 Unless you buy a house, or rent a house, or rent an apartment, or own a car, or eat food at any point in your life.

#4 That's exactly why, when I turned 39, I switched to a Frank Drebin avatar, credibility.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#4 I use anime avatar on the web for the past ~25 or so years and my opinion about this meme is: BS!

#13 funny how the person posting used an ai image, how tone deaf

#9 Shit Canadians know without knowing they know it...

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I don't know nothing, and you cannot prove that I don't.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wait...I can NOT prove that nothing is NOT known...but, if nothing isn't known...then...wait, I've got it...no...

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#30 I've honestly just given up.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like to joke that my retirement plan is to die fighting Nazis within the next five years.

It would be funny, if only it were funny.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also Pink News decided it was going to toss trans people under the bus so we can ignore anything they have to report now, cause they're shit.

#28 The Kool-Aid man effortlessly knocks down solid brick walls and the Kellog's man has the pent up rage of a man who's never had a full release. They would both undoubtedly kick your ass.

#14 #15 I see you put these two next to each other, so let me introduce you to what I call "Clarklon's Razor"

"Any sufficiently advanced stupidity is indistinguishable from malice"

#13 As I pointed out the last time this was posted, this is completely untrue. There were eight canals under construction in the 1830s. They were all completed. There was never any massive canal boom, or nationwide network, or anything of the sort. It's complete bullshit history made up to try and support an argument.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The part about half-finished canals may be completely untrue - it sounds like you know well. The general premise that we built a ton of very expensive canals between 1820 and 1860 and many of them only operated for a couple of decades before being supplanted by railroads has some truth to it.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Eh, not really. The Erie Canal was a major thoroughfare for 75 years, and continued to be in service for more than a hundred and fifty. It was only decommissioned in 1994, after being opened in 1825. Those canals all long since paid for themselves.

That said, if we never built any infrastructure because it would eventually be replaced by something better, we'd never build any infrastructure. The entire history of human industry is basically a series of upgrades.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm judging by the list of canals on Wikipedia. The majority of them were active for relatively short times. Even for the Erie Canal it says, "The Erie's peak year was 1855, when 33,000 commercial shipments took place. It continued to be competitive with railroads until about 1902..."

#9 So Canadians must really understand both systems of units and be able to do conversions in their head, right? Right?

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Depends on the person and the unit. 2.2lbs to a kilogram (2.205), 1.6km to mile(~1.60934), ~4 liters to a gallon(3.78541), etc.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope. You do not convert one to the other. You just know rough and vague ranges within the appropriate contextual reference.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

#29 a whole lotta blow was involved too

#28 Chef Boyardee knows his way around knives and meat cleavers. Do not underestimate him.

I was going to make a joke about "here comes all the comments about how mascot XYZ is actually a god-tier warrior", but they're all here already...

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And isn't that hand thing like 6ft tall?

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm reasonably sure the Kool-Aid Man could collide with a person and explode them into a fine kool-aid flavored mist.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure on the Coronel or Uncle Ben... I feel like their either correctly placed or final boss level. The Burger King and Trix Rabbit could also be potentially unbeatable due to the chaos factor.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Red m&m seems like an easy win

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He’s also relying heavily on the Quaker upholding his vows of non-violence, otherwise that dude is like farm strong, ya know?

1 month ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

I feel Sweeny Todd and Chef Boyardee are related.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also both a leprechaun and an elf are considered fea in some cultures. They would both absolutely beat the ever loving crap out of most people.

#18 this one tickled in that one specific spot in my lower back. Made me laugh wheezily.

#4 fuck you lol

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Yeah, if it's like a cyber security researcher with an anime profile pic, you better sit the fuck down and listen lmao

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#28 The sugar smacks BEAR should be further left. An old timey Quaker would put up more of a fight than you think, and the Kool-Aid man would rock your shit in under 10 seconds. Dude bursts through brick walls completely unfazed.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You just need to tip Kool-Aid man over though.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think I remember hearing that in order to hold all that kool-aid the glass would have to be 4 inches thick which would put him at like 4,000 lbs empty or something crazy like that

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like if he's knocked onto his back, he'd be struggling like a turtle to get up again.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but it'd be like pushing a pickup truck with it's brakes on though

Had a trans man mansplain something to me. It ain't in the genitals, folks.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

It's only mansplaining cause it's a man. Women splain all the time, they just think it's deserved.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Somebody downvoted you the the truth. Hope the upvote helps.

#7 And what is my crime? Enjoying a plant?...

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm 38 and I don't even have the moths :/

1 month ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 1

Do you have moth balls?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Keep your night on tonight and open your window. You're welcome.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm 58 and I've NEVER had twice my annual salary saved. That's boomer math there.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's probably good then. I hear when you have a lot of moths to feed your paycheck doesn't go nearly as far.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When I was 35, two older guys (50s) were talking about fitness. One guy said “you can only go back to 35, no matter how hard you work out.” I said that I was 35 so I better get to work.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They missed the footnote about employers paying an acceptable wage/salary. Arguably there should be a second footnote indicating a failure to achieve this should result in societal change...

It’s rough out there don’t beat yourself up :)! It’s never too late to start!

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm 42 and I have 6 months saved. I don't plan on retiring.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I have a little more than a decade on you. I get really sad thinking about working until I’m 67 just to have enough to pay for medical care. Ughhhh.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm just gonna peace out if I'm facing an expensive medical issue.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’ve always thought that and then watched people I know and read stories of people who change their minds when in a bad way. My mom went out by withholding food and water for 4 days. Tough on us. Her’s was because of misery, not expenses.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm 38, broke my elbow, got laid off, and then got into a car accident at the start of the year. Things are looking up though...

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holy crap. I hope things actually are looking up. It sounds like things can’t get much worse!

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My neighbor accidentally dropped a door on my car earlier this week. But I did accept a job offer yesterday. So yes, things are looking up.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It’s like you have a hex and need to do some sort of witchcraft to get release.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is it your hourly rate? I’m good there but I’m guessing not. Twice your weekly salary? Month? ANNUAL?!?

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It's a typo in the original. You should have twice your CELERY saved.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Annual, I imagine. In the olden days, we were supposed to have (at least) one million dollars saved up, before retirement.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I remember an ad for a 401(k) with people walking around with dollar amounts above their heads. Before the 2008 crash, obviously.
