What kind of super-bug can survive cooking a piece of bacon?

Looks like Mike Krahulik's art but I've never seen this before.

Having done a similar motion with a hammer, I am deeply worried about that thing slipping out of his grip and hitting the patient in the face.

Yep. If your check engine light is on then there's a code waiting on you to have a look at it.

From what? Netanyahu had 40 guards. The NYPD has 34,000 officers. Unless you're saying the US military would shoot the NYPD.

OBD2 readers with screens are less than $20 and bluetooth ones are less than $5. Everyone should keep one in their car.

A lot of these assholes are going to hit the "find out" stage when they implement the "AI camera mounted to garbage trucks watching for code violations" plan.

It's also the most common standard for "warm white" LED bulbs.

Most likely it's a 2700K bulb plus the effects of a digital camera in low lighting.

Incredible art, although the story is so utterly incomprehensible you eventually give up even trying to keep track of what's going on and why beyond the basics. You turn a single page and you have no idea if all the stuff someone is talking about is brand new lore or something you should've remembered from 200 pages ago.

Just imagine if he got black-hooded and hustled off to the Hague.

Depicting Netanyahu as being strangled is amazingly ignorant. This is exactly what he wants. The Iran war is the perfect distraction from his invasions of Lebanon and the Palestinian genocide. That's why he keeps bombing to end the ceasefires.

I've heard enough stories about people fucking it up and essentially giving themselves psychosis to know not to fuck around with tulpas. You don't want to spend six months convinced there's a voice in your head that hates you.

Probably because the evidence that his suicide was due to student loan debt is pretty shaky. It's really only his mom who said that, and student loan debt is kind of like financial herpes: impossible to get rid of, but not a huge burden on your daily life. Worst-case scenario is someone goes into default and gets their wages garnished for 15% of their take-home income. Which is bad, but not "kill yourself" bad.

Why did you fabricate a story about a suicide note? Jason Yoder left no note.

Right. There was no collusion because there didn't have to be; he's so fucking stupid Putin can get him to do whatever he wants without him consciously agreeing to it.

I know it would be more work but it would be handy to be able to set up a "duress profile" that it reverted to rather than blanking the whole phone. A decoy google account, a few innocent photos and documents, etc.

"Because it feels good" is apparently a valid reason to shove things up your ass but not a good reason to put q-tips in your ear.

The concept of dual citizenship is fundamentally incompatible with the oaths taken both by naturalizing individuals and by anyone assuming public office in the US. Also, frankly, the oath taken by every single federal employee. "Bear true faith and allegiance"

Except paleoartists haven't done that in going on forty years now.

I'm so happy I have a vast torrented library of ebooks from before AI.

If any company deserves to get totally shattered by AI it's Oracle.

Fuck the entire AI industry, but passing money back and forth is kind of the definition of an economy.

Changing the cultural identity of the murder of 11 million people into "that time six million Jews were murdered" is the greatest feat of public relations in the history of the world.

Could also be the cloth thickness being zero. It's common for blender artists to create non-manifold objects because they can look right without being physically possible.

Entirely wrong. It's less common and more controversial now but still legal and taking place. In Spain in the year 2000, there were 900 full corridas de toros, in 2023 there were 376.

We've gone from "the Internet interprets censorship as damage and routes around it" to "AI interprets security as damage and routes around it"

I still remember way back when I first saw the original teaser trailer. It looked way more like a game about flying around and exploring cool planets in support of human expansion. I kinda wish we'd gotten that game instead.

It doesn't take very long burning bundles of bank notes for warmth before you'll sign on with anyone promising change.

I don't get what was supposed to be horror about Pilgrims. "What if Catholicism was literally true in a universe with aliens"
