TTuesday and a rant

Jul 28, 2026 7:52 PM

Here’s your dose of TTuesday

And on to my rant. This gorgeous ball of fluff is my 2nd “foster fail”, Emers. She is a diva who loves attention and gives kisses and little love bites. Saturday evening, she discovered that she could push out the accordion panel of a window AC unit at her cat sitters house and got outside. That has been reinstalled and reinforced, but we have not been able to find her

She is my fluffy, princess girl, and after everything that has happened recently, I am distraught, to say the least. To make it worse, the only texts I’ve gotten claiming to have information about her have been from scammers trying to get money

As if that wasn’t bad enough, I woke up this morning to find that not only was my bank account completely drained by a string of fraudulent charges, it was massively overdrawn. I froze the account and my debit card, but right now, the thread I am hanging on by is getting a bit taught

If you made it this far, please enjoy this meme as a palette cleanse Most viral edit: thanks everyone for the love and positivity, but I’m getting blasted with hate, so no, I’m not going to set anything up asking for money. I appreciate the people who are kind, but my autistic little self is feeling pretty defeated by the negativity. Thanks for letting me scream into the void, and remember, be kind

Can’t keep ignoring that check engine light

I don't have a lot of money, but I can send you a piece of tape to put over the check engine light.

2 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

That’s how we fixed ours, right up until it failed inspection!

Could I talk you into a fun sticker instead of tape?

2 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll refer you to my earlier statement about money. It would be a really high quality piece of tape that you could draw on.

🤔Yes!

May I ask, is the tattoo just because or do you have a reason (like a heart issue) for it?

You don't have to answer. I'm just curious.

2 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes! I have something called POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and a leaky heart valve

2 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is that tattoo somehow connected to POTS, or just a general use “something is wrong inside” tattoo? I’ve seen others with it but I don’t know.

2 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is an unofficial POTS tattoo. Not everyone who has one has POTS, but it is definitely popular with people who have it and/or other forms of dysautonomia

Cool. Thanks!

I'm so sorry to hear that but what a fantastic choice of tattoo for it!

Fun fact: Despite popular believe, the Check Engine Light is mostly triggered, not by any serious systemic malfunctions causing immediate damages to the motor itself, but by fault sensor readouts from within the exhaust strand. Really not that much of a funny fact come to think about... just...

OBD2 readers with screens are less than $20 and bluetooth ones are less than $5. Everyone should keep one in their car.

2 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What’s that? Code readers?

2 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep. If your check engine light is on then there's a code waiting on you to have a look at it.

I got my ELM327 for $5 15 years ago, still works like a charm. I've used it more for other people than myself but it is so damn handy to own.

If the CEL is on, it's probably not a big deal.

If it's flashing, you should probably pull over, stop, and try to figure out what's going on. The CEL only flashes for serious errors, like an engine misfire or a sudden loss of oil pressure. These problems can very quickly turn your engine into an expensive paperweight.

+1 for the helpful appendix on what is going on when the CEL is flashing. On the other page, I've never seen a tattoo suddenly begin flashing (which is a lie, but irrelevant in this case). It may begin to flash if you're constantly blocking the exhaust with foreign objects for too long, though... Gotta blast it through on the Autobahn.

CEL only flashes if the problem is going to damage the catalytic converter. Newer cars will have a message that says to shut the engine down if there is a loss of oil pressure.

I didn’t even know about the flashing check engine light until a couple weeks ago! I’m 53!

Well, good for you. No, really. Somehow you were lucky enough and/or did choose the correct option in the past four decades in order to avoid encountering it flashing up. I hope you learned about it via media and not on the side of the road during rush hour, too.

I always took it right in when it came on, at least to find out why it was on. At the beginning of July we were halfway from NY to VA, three women in the middle of the night, and that light came on. We pulled over, I checked the tires and the fluids and we went on because nowhere was open anywhere near us. It ended up being a dirty sensor but that’s when I found out that we could go on unless it started blinking. Idk if I’ve been lucky or just drove REALLY old cars until we were in my daughter’s

-new-ish SUV. I’ve definitely been blessed to not have anything catastrophic happen while on long trips. One terrible accident in my twenties but I was near family. //

Do you have a GoFundMe or a Kofi or something? Even a few bucks from a couple of us randos, collectively, might help.

Hope things get better... And thanks for the TT.

My question too.

2 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I was thinking about setting up a GoFundMe, but I really hate doing that type of thing. Idk, I still might

Extry extry! Read all about it! Titty Poster "Hates" Turning Account Into A Donation Funnel!

I don't like giving unsolicited advice... But I would do it. Times are stupidly hard right now and they're only getting harder, and it's impossible to live without support these days.

We've got a community here that will help you. Promise!

I just want to back this claim up.

Not doing the best financially right now, my daughter's birthday was on Saturday and a random imgurian was amazing and bought her pizza and donuts so she didn't have to settle for what we had left from the food pantry.

There's a whole post all the time about providing food for those that need it (it's why Pizza My Heart is an award you can give).

Go fund me takes such a high percentage of what’s donated. I have no idea how screwed up your bank account is or if you have other options but using a Cash App or something would likely serve you better. Idk if it takes long but you can get a Cash App card for payouts, you don’t need to even gave a bank account. I just hate to see GoFundMe get almost half of your donations. Stay strong! This too shall pass!

2 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I get that, but I definitely don’t want to put something up where people couldn’t see exactly what I’m asking for, why I’m asking for it, and how much has been given. Idk, I’m definitely getting hated on for even posting, so I think I’ll just try to figure this out

2 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m so sorry you’re getting hated on. So dumb, everyone needs help sometimes. I did a GoFundMe to send my kid on a trip with her band, years ago, she’s 25 now. I had enough donated to send her but after they took their 30% it wasn’t enough. I’ve just been pissed at their high fees since then. Definitely do it if it’ll help. I’m so sorry you’re going through so much. You’ll make it!!

Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate every bit of positivity from everyone, but I’ve never had a thick skin. Every negative comment and DM gets to me, and now I’m dwelling on the fact that I’m apparently just a brainless titty poster obviously trying to get attention and scam people
