I make things. Most of the time they're online.
The big scary here is that the US is arguably the only country that actually could take over any other spot on the planet if they so chose. If the US truly goes rogue, could the combined military might of the rest of the world actually stop it?
The problem with one group deciding to exterminate another is that either they succeed, or everyone else has to gang up on them to stop them. So either lots of people on both sides die or everyone on one side dies. How anyone can see the genocide of a militarily inferior group as a morally superior position is just bewildering to me...
Douglas Adams opined rather correctly that the desire for power should dusqualify receiving it, and anyone that actually wanted to be an authority figure should not ever be allowed to become one.

For all the flak France takes for its attitudes about a lot of things, one thing they've always been disturbingly good at is not putting up with any BS out of their political leadership. If the US were even slightly more French in this regard the world would be quite different right now.
Dump the entire thing. Arrest everyone involved, political situation be damned. End the careers of every last one of them. They cannot be redeemed - waste no energy on trying to "save" them. Anything short of that is just tap-dancing around the cold reality that rapists and pedos are running things.
And Adam Savage does it like every year.
Meanwhile, one of my meds is around $900/month.

Well, as we've all seen over the past few years, there are LOADS of people who are happy when their terrible behavior in private is validated by a public figure that is also a terrible person in public. So, yes, there is absolutely that mindset in play, and for arguably about a third of the American adult population.
Same - I get why and how, but you'd think these people would choose a better role model than this douche canoe and his idiot brother. These two aren't "manly" men, they're rapist scumbags, and deserve no special respect because of that fact.

Look for their Wizard Time compilations for a LOT more of this sort of thing.
Pretty sure an ICC war-crimes warrant trumps diplomatic immunity through at least one treaty, likely the Geneva Convention itself.
But fear is the mind killer and all that!
Yep, woke up, hopped on some websites, heard that a plane hit the first tower, watched the second strike on live TV. That was a hell of a day...

And GenX screamed it as far back as the 1980s - we saw ALL of this coming, sounded warnings about it, and were completely ignored. The Cassandra generation when it comes to tech abuse.
Yep, this is the culmination of decades of systemic movement toward fascism, and based on well established history is going to end badly. Only this time, the fascists have the capability to burn the whole world down and not just a single nation or region.
Hate to say it, but if ever there was a reason to go permanently no contact, this would be it. Those are objectively shitty people if they're this willing to be this petty over a few thousand bucks they're technically not entitled to, and it will only get worse from here now that they've shown their mindset.
More like if you actually read the Bible, AND PUT IN THE EFFORT TO TRY TO UNDERSTAND IT, the form of belief system you will craft for yourself will not look anything like Christian nationalism or fundamentalism or modern "churchianity." All the BS we see is from people trying to take shortcuts - it's not hard to figure out what it's trying to tell you but it's also not just cursory-glance stuff either. Gotta do a little work.
Southern Florida has them - I've personally found them on the undersides of low-hanging palm fronds. When I ducked under them. And subsequently dragged multiple saddlebacks across my face and neck.Which is rather unpleasant. And by "rather unpleasant," I mean "screaming and clutching body parts in pain while fiery welts erupt across every surface they's touched."Nope, do not like...
VERY venomous and hazardous to touch - contact will leave welts where you touch it because those spines will break off in skin. Those things are nasty to discover by accident while doing yard work.
After the first week of August, apparently, so they can avoid an election to fill his seat.
Was gonna say that sounds more like broadcasting an invite to sexy time than a test of the reflexes...
