So the only problem with this video is I (47F) with is that I constantly tell my house full of men to leave my tools alone! 95% of the hand tools, all of the power tools, and anything used to work on cars is mine. My husband was a plumber in a former life so he has some of that stuff floating around.
I had asked my husband about 4 times to hang a picture. He said yes every time but no hung picture. I came in the room with a drill, a mallet hammer and 4 various sized screws. The picture was up in less than 5 mins and I didn’t have to do it.
the only thing that gets a quicker reaction is if you change the setting on the thermostat. if the husband isn't home then the husband next door will cover for him.
Seems reasonable to me (someone who once watched my mother drive a nail through plumbing in the wall and unleash a spray of water that took my dad a week to repair while I held the flashlight). But then again I also want a second set of eyes if I’m the one doing work.
My first class using saws and power tools they drilled into us "never use power tools/saws alone" It's too easy to make a simple mistake and have no one around to help you. You could be going into shock unable to help yourself and it could be too late by the time someone finds you.
Is a power drill that dangerous of a tool? Not usually, but it can be. I know that's not what's happening here, but as a safety FYI, if you are going to be using power tools make sure someone else around knows.

I’ve known people (men and women both) who were extremely not-handy and knew it. If they suddenly decided to start up a drill or circular saw or something, I’m not going to stop them, but I am definitely going to watch and be prepared to help if needed.
If a not-handy person fires up a drill, whatever. But if they fire up a circular saw I'm definitely going to stop them and go over a few things first. Certain tools don't leave a lot of room to "learn from your mistakes" without potentially life changing/ending consequences.

I think for some who make these, they are going for the misogynistic "lol women can't use power tools and man is worried she will fuck things up, so funny," but I have also seen trending reels where women will use this stereotype to purposely make men rush to worry in order to manipulate them to take over and do jobs immediately, lest the threat the women will do it wrong. It's extremely shitty manipulation and stereotyping all in one. Gross.
My wife has her own power tools. Some are different than mine, so i have to borrow hers. If i need industrial hot glue, or a bajillion craft items, I'll have to use hers.
I would probably wonder what she was drilling with her drill.
My wife doesn't have her own tools. Not that I mind her using mine, but I'd prefer she put them back where she got them. She puts them away, just not where they were.
Though she doesn't typically enjoy the projects that need power tools, anyway. She doesn't care enough to make sure things line up well or don't strip. Which is why they're my tasks. She does other things that I don't enjoy, so it kinda balances out.
I trust her, but I'd still be checking what the noises are for.

The "trend" is just reinforcing subtle sexism. The concept behind it is that "she" has no business using "his" power tools...which is complete bullshit. My husband and I share everything and we have both used the power tools many times...I think that this is a lot more normal than this trend would like people to believe.
I think it also is "experience" vs "not as much experience." I have no problem with my wife using any tool that we have purchased, but she tends to do things like making a hole to hang something without finding a stud or not anchoring it and then it falls a few months later. Yes, I have encouraged her to learn and showed her a better way, but if she doesn't use it again for another year, she forgets. The same way that I have no idea how to use her tools and would expect her to help if I struggle
