I understand why CG is used, but I think matte paintings and models bring more of a realness to the picture that CG just can't capture (or rather doesn't because the industry relies on it exclusively)

#18 me and my warhammer problem
#3 for me its a deep seeded fear, I had a wild temper as a kid and have had memory issues my whole life so much so that I often forget what I do while angry. So I've always had the worry that I'll go to far in a moment of rage. I've taken a lot of painstaking steps to make sure that never happens but even now if I so much as raise my voice, I shut down.

Its a reference to an old sci-fi story about aliens coming to earth saying they are here to lift up humanity with a book that says "how to serve man". At the end of the story the main character finds out that its a cookbook but by that time its too late. I know the story but I dont know what its called or where i even first saw it.
I get you, i can get mey thoughts across better with a phone call and get an immediate response to questions. But people are so uncomfortable with phone calls these days that I find it hard to even contact my boss when I have questions or concerns.
The problem is people like him see humans as outside the animal kingdom unless its convenient to their narrative.
