Pretty much yup, in terms of console market too the only real choice next Gen is ps6 or switch? Since Xbox will functionally be a pc alongside the steam machine. I'll add pcs largely haven't had cd drives too (though you can get one). Realistically disks have already been dead for a good bit purely based on the market that actually buys them vs download/subscribers.

Personally I'd say it's a larger factor depending on the sport. Golf for example has tons of highly expensive equipment. Soccer they honestly say is one of the cheapest sports essential all it really takes is a ball it's why they say it's so popular wirld wide. So it'd say some sports that's truer than others however in every sport money does help.
For example Ohio, when people think of it they think of rural or no man's land areas, but if you live within any 45mins of any of the c cities you can have some of the highest ranked public schools in the nation, internationally recognized hospitals, zoos, and theme parks... But here state side we think it's a shit hole thanks to memes.
