#3 ok so he suffered a fall. That sucks for him, but to keep it in perspective, for a lot of elderly people, that's a sign it's time to go to a nursing home.
If he's even alive, holy shit man, it's time to fucking retire.

He won't get it until it happens.
He thinks anything he's doing can't be wrong by virtue of the fact that he's the one doing it.

not trying something new that I might enjoy because of a feeling that I'd be incapable of doing it.

This isn't a put down of anyone else, everyone can choose their hobbies as they like, but I'm glad I haven't yet adopted the "I'm too old to learn or do x" attitude.
I've snowboarded since I was a kid, but learned to ski in my twenties, and now at 40, I'm still an avid skier, downhill biker, and surfer (when I can), and still progressing at them.
And I do appreciate that these are all sports of some privilege, I'm very lucky to be able to do them, but the point is I dislike the thought of

But did they still vote for him?

Yeah, you're right, of course, but I think it can be given some grace considering it's nearly a century old.

#10 I did not realise this was a neurodivergent thing. I guess it makes sense that it is, and I certainly see it in myself, but I just thought it was kinda normal..

#1 if I worked at a theatre, I would care exactly as much as actual theatre staff usually care, which is not at all.

...I should've guessed that, I dunno why I thought it would be something deeper. Thanks

Alright, this one has completely gotten past me. I knew nothing of this movie till less than a week ago, and I don't know the story at all, and I have no clue why shitty people hate it so much.
...but I do have to admit that I want to see it now

Gotcha, thank you! Can I assume he's using this disingenuously to 'protect children'?

What's the context here?

This woman, being more articulate than I am, voices my feelings about business exactly! If I were a business owner (and I am currently moving my life towards that) this is how I would choose to run it. Having a well compensated, engaged, and caring staff is worth more than fucking gold.
And I'd add, as a standard, that if the success or survival of a business depends on any, even just one, of its staff making less than a living wage, it's not a viable business.
