I think the confusion comes from the word "believing". Most atheists do assume that there is no god, and colloquially they might say "I believe there is none." That's very different kind of belief than what religious people mean when they believe, because for them it replaces actual knowledge is more similar to "I know there is a god". With the same word, the atheist made a (reasonable) guess, while the religious person is certain.

Yes it must be some US-only thing. I checked my local regulations and they just say "< 1,5mg/l" and it's not a parameter that is tested very often. I know my own water is < 0,2mg/l. I have toothpaste, and that's where fluoride makes sense. But the US, with low-income people having no access to dental and maybe not even toothpaste (?), putting fluoride in drinking waster somehow becomes a good idea? It's definitely not anywhere near toxic levels but if I had the choice, I'd choose non-flouridated

It's not a "false flag" attack. He's not a muslim, but he is still very much an immigrant with a very foreign cultural background. In his opinion the Germans were racist and discriminated against him because of where he came from: He had previous troubles with the law that lead to convictions in disputes, not just concerning his medical studies, where he threatened violence. He also thinks that law enforcement is targeting/harrassing former muslims. No jihad or false flag, just regular violence

A ban gives women who would otherwise be forced/coerced/pressured into it an excuse to not wear it. People pushing for bans don't care if a tiny fraction is doing it out of their "free will" or whatever, those people will also be fine if they just don't wear it. But no one should be forced to wear the "flag of the political islam" (which this is) against their will - and that is a very good reason to ban this political symbol altogether.

Only it's not though? The number of people rich enough to take from it low, the number of poorer people vastly outnumber them by multiple orders of magnitude, so none of them get "rich" by receiving a tiny fraction of what was taken. Which makes the comic really stupid.
As a slow reader with 20+ years of anime watching, I found this is false. But at some point I understood enough to mostly follow the plot so I just started watching without subtitles, and did that for years. I'm only now going back because I miss a lot of stuff, without even noticing, mostly inconsequential details but still. And I frequently need to go back and pause to read some passages -_-

I had my aorta valve replacement in my mid 30ies and since I was and still am planning to live for more than another 15 years I went with mechanical. And I'm happy about the decision because I really don't want to live through another open heart surgery, one was more than enough for me.

I don't think it's the same. When I close my eyes in a dark room at night, my vision is filled with bright, moving shapes I can never define because they change too fast and sometimes it's so massive and bright that they "blind" me (a stark contrast to the grainy dark picture of the room I see when my eyes are open) and the shapes are monochrome and also all colors of the rainbow. Except for the color this is not the same as the blob of distorted vision from migraine, which I also get sometimes.
I believe that staying in the trade zone, while leaving everything else, was the intent. Seeing how the import/export suffered, that part didn't quite work out that well, and the hit to the economy was significant. To at least partially negate the damage, trade relations would need to improve sooner rather than later - doesn't really look like that's going to happen though.

EU plans to ban PFAS but they are very much not banned as of yet, even if usage of some of them is already restricted - but not "for a very long time" either, just a few year at best. Contamination is being monitored more intensely now and I hope a wide-reaching ban will come soon. So far restrictions only targeted single substances, not the entire group of chemicals, and restrictions are not really bans, even if it's better than nothing.
