IF it were US forces directly fighting, there would be no Russians. This type of warfare is what the US excels at. And we have enough forces in the region to use shock and awe tactics.

I've been keeping up on the war through a channel called "The enforcer" they're annoying, think they're funny and worst of all, laugh about civilian deaths, and are very pro Israel. But the information is up to date and accurate. Does anyone have a better source that isn't two Alabama good ol boys who think they're funny? There's a supposedly Ukrainian guy who says he was a pilot, but he talks about Russia having the most advanced tech so it feels like he's a plant and he's rather pessimistic.

While the west is undoubtedly a reason Ukraine still exists, they are also one of the main reasons the war is still going. They have been drip feeding Ukraine the scraps from their armies and then telling them to perform miracles, then publicly doubting their chances of winning when they fail. If the EU, US and NATO gave Ukraine what it has been asking for, and stop putting restrictions on them, such as don’t bomb Russia, the death toll on both sides could be dramatically lower.

Why? Everything I said was a fact. Zelenskyy already said Russia knew exactly where Ukraines summer offensive would be before it even launched, which gave them lots of time to prepare. Germany then delayed the release of tanks and missiles, meaning the Ukrainians had to wait, by which time Russia had made an impenetrable wall of defence, which ultimately caused the summer offensive to fail. The west spends so much time worrying about hurting Putins feelings, while on the ground, Ukrainians die.

Russia thought of itself and was (by far too many people) considered to be the second-strongest military in the world prior to their invasion of Ukraine. It's of course preposterous (I consider the Fr*nch to have more powerful armed forces) and the same mistake is being made in regards to China right now, but the point is that even most Russians see the American military as more powerful, which is why it makes sense for Russian propaganda to claim that there can only be American forces in Kursk.

Russia had to start threatening with nukes right from the start of the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. The three of them still use majority Russian gas. Austria legalized Russian spies as long as they don't spy on Austria. The Russian embassy in Austria has some really really big listening devices but they don't care if they're pointed towards the rest of the EU. Slovakia said they will block Ukraine EU help unless the EU eases up on sanctions.

If Ukraine falls it would be because NATO faltered in their unity to support it, in which case there is no guarantee that the alliance would act to protect its Russia-neighbouring members. Divide and conquer, one by one they will zerg rush everyone. Right now sending weapons, ammo and money while Ukrainians die on the battlefield is a far lower risk proposition than Canada or Spain sending their soldiers to die protecting Latvia.

Doesn't really matter tbh. The EU may not have the defence budget of the US but our militaries are leaps and bounds ahead of Russia in terms of tech, training and sheer manufacturing capacity. Having Russia as a direct neighbour is still very, very bad and undesirable but not because they'd be absolutely fucktarded enough to invade.

Eh... I think it was accurate on day 1 of the invasion; not so accurate over 2 years later.
Russia has demonstrated it can't beat Ukraine let alone take on NATO; by the time Russia is In fighting shape again, even if they do eventually triumph in Ukraine which is still a big if, then Putin will be in his 90s.
Whilst there is a soft centre at the heart of Europe, mostly thanks to Germany, it has a very tough outer shell.

Sweden is a tough nut to track also, as is France and Britain; Greece is nothing to be taken lightly and both Spain and Italy are rearming. Italy could easily handle what remains of the black sea fleet and the royal navy could handle the baltic "fleet".
None of that means we shouldn't help Ukraine though. 2

Also something I don't see talked about much is that even if they manage to conquer Ukraine they're going to be dealing with a massive widespread insurgency. In the early days of the war when it was looking like the worst-case scenario was a sure thing there were civilians mass-producing molotovs in preparation.

The Bundeswehr is woefully underfunded, undertrained and underequipped. It should arguably be at least one of the top 4 in Europe as Germany is a rich nation with a solid arms manufacturing industry; but political will has left it in a place where they don't view defence as a priority because they are a nation surrounded on all sides by allies legally bound to defend them and they know that NATO plans have always revolved around holding the Russians east of the Rhine.

Yeah but you know the Germans can switch that pretty fast (see the last 2 world wars) if it's necessary. I think it's pretty good of the politics to choose peace and social care above equipping the military. And in the last 2 years they changed that and spent much more money in the Bundeswehr.
