"trying not to raise liberals" ma'am you are gonna raise communists and anarchists
I wonder what the smallest circle you'd need to draw in order to get all these geological term in a globe
nah, why build one ballistic missile when you can instead for the same cash build an entire fleet of drones
there can be bad unions, for example, police unions that protect murderers simply because they have a badge
cool cool, the half brain dead fascist was mildly upset by this, he's still the president though. can we do something to fix that instead of waving toothless gotchas at him
yeah the absolute insanity of being an electric car company ceo and deciding to pander to people who hate electric cars
idk if he intentionally looks like burgerpants but this is also in character for burgerpants
This is because elon lacks social etiquette, a common problem for billionaires. Every community has some form of etiquette, he struggles to fit in with even the republican politicians despite all the pandering he performs.
I think it might have just failed to display the US flag emoji, so it gets that text instead
merge is a bit of an overstatement. my understanding is that the bill permits the pentagon to give israel funding as a part of their own budget, as well as expanding their access to intelligence sharing. it's not a literal merge, but it sure is one step closer
It really doesn't help that dem policy has a lot of "reaching across the isle" in order to appeal to people who will never vote for them. obama had the political capitol and majority to implement universal healthcare, instead he took an old republican draft that the republicans voted against anyways.
Nah, I saw we follow in Iran's footsteps. Trump's popularity has tanked ever since the strait was first closed. I say it's high time for trump to follow one of his campaign promises and force them to become energy independent.
yes, but rapists are wouldn't be rapists if they listened when someone said no
My line of thinking is that they just fund crazy people who are half right. they signal boost the crazy people who scream about the wrong groups of people doing the abuse. bonus points if those crazy people also talk about things that are fully wrong to further poison their credibility
I would like to add that they fought hard to stop mamdani from getting elected, someone who also wants medicare for all, but he won despite their best efforts. Remember when every interviewer would ask him if israel deserved to exist, or how he was constantly being called antisemitic, or how cuomo ran as an independent after losing the primary
while hilary would have been infinitely preferable to trump, I don't think she would have. the establishment struck down bernie's campaign in favor of hers specifically because they didn't want to do anything about healthcare
I think it would simply be easier to not spend millions of dollars to do space mining if you also want to maintain scarcity
the really disappointing thing is that since taco bell is doing the recalls, it's been reported mainly as just the taco bell infected lettuce instead of Taylor Farms. it's a spanish flu situation all over again
I wouldn't call her amazing, but if I was american I would have voted for her. Really disappointing how defensive of israel she was and how the democratic party's leadership in general fights tooth and nail against progressive candidates. I am however very excited for the progressive wave replacing do-nothing octogenarians
tangentially, I learned the word "photosynthesis" from Phantasy Star Universe before I learned about it from biology class. Creatives are big nerds and will put fancy terms in their work if you let them, and it's great. just last year I learned gommage, to remove or wipe away in relation to painting or makeup, from Expedition 33
for real. The Monster Hunter series has a bunch of terms related to biology and Final Fantasy 14 is chalk full of archaic terms. (curse you starboard larboard)
I feel like the post is targeted at AAA studios blowing massive amounts of cash to chase "the new best graphics" and sitting in production forever because they have to get a 3rd party company to draw every ass hair on the player character with perfect photorealism, only to take so long that the hardware improves and they hire them again.
the improvement on graphics was reliant on tech available to the public getting exponentially better. that improvement has slowed down in recent years alongside photorealistic artstyles having diminishing returns, the jump from ps4 to ps5 isn't as impressive as ps1 to ps2 was. Also AI data centres skyrocketing demand for hardware might make the average consumer's gaming devices go backwards in power
They're welcome to try. no sarcasm, this administration is so stupid that they wouldn't be able to stop a properly planned assassination attempt. They failed to stop a nutjob on a whim and only survived by sheer luck.
88% approval rating is a really funny coincidence
I genuinely think that PP not resigning after his major loss last election is a big mistake by the conservative party. He took what was going to be the first conservative majority government in a decade and failed to adjust to the changes over that 6 month period, he only whined and complained. and Honestly? good, I'd prefer the conservative party stay weak
Alberta loves their cowboy culture. PP recently lost his MP seat in ontario and forced a safe seat in alberta to resign and do a reelection with him on the ballot instead. I think this is an attempt to appeal to the yehaw canadians
He's the canadian conservative opposition leader, he lost so hard last election that he even lost in his own district in ontario. He then forced a significantly safer conservative seat in alberta to do a relection but with him. alberta really likes their cowboy culture, so he's trying to appeal to his new constituents, albeit very poorly imo. He went into politics directly after school, so no he's never had a real job
to clarify, "the house" in terms of stocks are the richest owners and CEOs. letting us common folk earn small % year over year is the honey pot that incentives us to put our money into their coffers. It's the same reason why credit cards have cash back, they're making more money from people using it poorly and getting fees than the cash back rewards returned.
to clarify, "the house" in terms of stocks are the richest owners and CEOs. The stock exchange doing well? The rich earn the most. The stock going steady? The rich still take the biggest payouts. The stocks crash and trillions of dollars disappear? you bet that the rich are still profiting. The stocks are designed to pour money upwards, just how casinos are designed to pour money into the house
