Already a work in progress. Our Prime Minister is already making trade deals with the EU and China - to lessen the impact of cutting off trade with the US full stop will do. Just severing ties completely without trade partners lined up would hurt.

The courts struck down the blanket tariffs on all goods. This is a 50% tariff on a narrower range of industrial goods and commercial goods and excludes things like energy products, potash, fish and critical minerals. Because he's doing this by a specific statute and under the banner of "unfair trade practices", he has the authority to do so...for now. :\
