the info pages are, however, generally useful (which is relevant here)
It could also favour the left if protest votes on the right took out their most extreme base, but that's much less common.
I assume you mean "I'm not living in the USA"? I'm guessing someone downvoted you and thought you mean "I'm in the USA but not voting for her as I'm not American", which is silly.
Unless they're covered in Nazi tattoos. Then we do.
I don't. Having to run defrag was always a sign of both poor filesystem design AND the limitations of spinning platters (SSDs running the trim command just isn't quite the same)
Yes, I'm not talking about _library_ support (I can read them well enough, it's just not yet an option _in the default kde screenshot utility_, even with libavif installed); you've kind of run into the problem: companies don't support it. If I tried to use it, I wouldn't be able to upload it anywhere, which would mean having to convert anything I want to share. At least webp works in more places (imgur excepted).
I mean, I'm on linux, and even then avif hasn't penetrated everything I use casually (including the exact screenshot utility, which makes it slightly more irritating), and it's a pretty terrible format for uploading screenshots to places when I want to share them. It's already irritating enough that imgur doesn't support webp so I have to go back and convert them to PNG. Now, if the format was more widely supported _online_, I'd be straight on it.
Inertia.
I have all my screenshots converted to webp automatically. I'd make them avif but that's even LESS supported.
you'd never guess that galadriel's most famous trait is being an astoundingly perceptive judge of character, since before she ever set food in middle-earth
I don't, but I have a friend who's been for some reason keeping me updated on what's going on. Which makes spotting the timing absurdities really easy
smeagol into gollum (presumably), isildur's death in the gladden fields, etc. Oh, and because Numenor's entire thing has been condensed, there's also nothing to build on for founding Arnor and Gondor, which only adds MORE weird time pressures.
I mean, it's a fucking terrible middle ground, because it also means they're trying to speedrun crunching four or five different things that happened to different groups of people at different times into the convenient timespan of "short enough none of the humans are required to age". Even ignoring all the batshit nonsense about mithril or Celebrimbor looking like a middleaged accountant in a muumuu for SOME reason... forging of the rings, Durin's Bane, decay and fall of numenor, last alliance1/
trying to condense an extremely long and difficult siege into a nonexistent timeframe AND rearranging everything just makes the characters look incompetent and stupid. It also doesn't gel at all with ANYTHING that therefore sits either side temporally (the entirety of the Silmarillion, or the Last Alliance of Elves and Men), because they're using THE single most dangerous per-person group in Middle-Earth (the Noldor).
probably from anyone who has the single slightest awareness of tolkien's writing?
The only medical treatment for children is delaying puberty. You know, something we do _all the time_ if it starts too early anyway. And y'know, that's the exact opposite of making a decision you'll regret, because it gives time TO decide.
Arwen's death is completely unrelated, and that's because she's of the half-elven line, and therefore permitted to choose between the fate of elves or men. By marrying Aragorn and remaining, she chooses the fate of men, and therefore also granted the doom of men--the ability to age, and die, and have her spirit leave beyond the bounds of Arda before the Dagor Dagorath. 2/2
IIRC they don't become mortal, but they WILL fade to pretty much nothing but spirits in the age of men. Which, I suppose, could be considered very similar and would have the same end result of being stabbed to death and returning to the halls of mandos that way, but it's pretty important that they're really just disembodied over time rather than anything else.
Well, i suppose it depends if you want to count his age from the beginning of time, or from he first became one of the Istari and arrived in Middle-Earth
Nah, it's two concentric roundabouts joined by mini roundabouts. The magic roundabout is an... odd thing.
i still can't work out what he's seeing
the only games that ever had good stealth IMO were the original Thief games.
Kase-san, I think?
It really depends on what part of the Democratic platform you're looking at. On _social_ issues they're definitely left, even if the economics are extremely moderate when looking at a global scale.
And the relevant part is "once Britain decided no more slave trade, they worked to stop _anybody else_ from taking part in it"
and if Britain has one redeeming feature in the whole mess, it's in working to shut down the transatlantic slave trade
Kind of irrelevant if they're not constantly networked and feeding results somewhere that can be tampered with, though they're a bit of a waste.
