So what's the alternative? From an outside perspective it looks like the Democrat party isn't all that much either when they push for geriatric and/or landed gentry presidential candidates in an attempt to keep the status quo rather than being actually progressive. From my perspective... US politics can only be fixed by some sweeping progressive policies that aren't paper tigers, and ... Maybe prosecute the shit out of the *gestures broadly* and ... However I am curious when, if ever, we get to see more transparent pricing because it depends an awful lot on what you're asking the LLM to generate. I do not recall token generation being letter based, but more like prefix/suffix/postfix based per-word? I'll have to read up on it and I'll try to share my own correction on my understanding of token generation.
Tokens are, in essence, word combinations generated by LLMs, and is currently how they're priced in usage. So a few hundred thousand tokens is a few A4 papers worth of generated output. A million a few more A4 papers, etc etc. Taking some shortcuts here but if someone more tech savvy would fill in I am sure my friend up here and me will appreciate it.
It has to be something that can be conquered, punched down on. That does not leave a lot of room for ending world hunger, diseases, and other such enemies that actually exist but have an unknown conquer / punch down / expiry date. Best of these enemies is almost always a fabricated one because the terms for conquest are determined by moving goal posts.

With a randomly selected judge presiding that just so happens to be a trump appointee... Just like the last time. I don't wish this to be true, not at all, but last year I recall some woman judge presiding where there was a moral reason to excuse themselves from it but didn't. Also blocked some report? I fucking hate that the umbrella term, performance enhancing drugs, sounds innocent when in reality they are not exactly harmless. Especially since they are frequently abused, and as you've mentioned already people lie about their usage of them.

Nobody's saying companies are beyond criticism. I'm saying responsibility isn't equal. The government created the tariffs, then explicitly allowed companies to keep the money instead of refunding customers. Companies can be criticized for their response, but the greater responsibility lies with the people who created both the cost and the legal framework.
And to make matters worse, that same government also made it legal for companies not to refund customers for tariff-related price increases. If there's outrage over consumers bearing the cost, it makes more sense to direct it at the policymakers who both created the costs and explicitly protected companies from having to reimburse them.
I agree companies should be accountable for the decisions they make. But the bigger moral responsibility here lies with the government that chose to impose the tariffs. Companies are reacting to a new cost they didn't create, they can absorb it, pass it on, or split it. Criticize those choices if you want, but the policy that created the higher prices came first.
I don't think it's healthy to project morality onto a (publicly traded) business that has no morals by definition. Especially when these companies and businesses were basically told by Trump that they're in the clear to not reimburse customers.
Nintendo and other companies refusing to pay back the tariff fees are also reminding people they got what they voted for. Not Nintendo's fault whatsoever.

Id like to add consent-o-matic to that list. Will attempt to automatically deny cookie walls. Works for the vast majority and can report if a site didn't work and usually within a week(?) orso it gets fixed. Also recommend bitwarden for password management, do turn off firefox's own password manager though.

There have been some breakthroughs regarding nuclear fusion in the last years or so, where scientists proved it is possible to have more fuel released more energy than was absorbed by the fuel itself.
