For garlic or onion, rubbing your fingers on stainless steel under cold running water will eliminate the smell. I usually do that while cleaning the knife afterwards. Works like a charm. It is actually based on a chemical reaction between the sulfur compounds and stainless steel.
Just last weekend, one of my friends got a puncture wound. I thought it would probably be fine from infection because it was bleeding a lot, but asked if her tetanus shot was up to date. It wasn’t. Then I asked the rest of the people around if their tetanus shot was up to date: blank stares and NONE of them said yes. Unbelievable. Anyway, she went to get the shot, and ended up on antibiotics too as a precaution. Aye carumba!

The huge problem with dementia and MAID, is that you can only choose MAID if they deem you are still competent, and you have to do it WHILE YOU ARE STILL COMPETENT TO MAKE THAT DECISION. Once they deem you incompetent, you are not allowed to use MAID, even if you had said ‘when I get to this point, euthanize me.’I feel it is a very personal choice, and I’m glad that if I ever get some horrible disease, I’ll have it as one of the options.
It’s so great that the US is now sharing military information with these murderers. When they’re done with the Palestinians, they’ll switch over to the people they don’t like in America, and start ‘cleansing’.

I didn’t know that either. It has been many, many years since I saw that movie. It would be worth a rewatch. There are probably lots of now-familiar faces in those ‘old’ movies.
Your ‘religion’ does not get to dictate how *I* live.If you want to be dry, fill your boots. But if I want to drink and I’m past the legal age, I will if I want. I’m a grownup and that means I get to make my own decisions. If I’m a dumbass and drink while it interferes with my meds, or have liver failure, it’s on me. It’s part of FAFO, the school of hard knocks.
