I always go to the bathroom during long movies. I also need to walk as my body wants to move and stretch regularly.

That might be the issue. Michelin stars only go up to 3 so these 4 star places may not be legit.
Ah my favourite Karen moment was first asking to speak to the manager, so I walked out and came back to introduce myself again as the manager. She said she wanted to speak to the owner then. Walked out and back in “I’m the owner of this fine establishment” so she left.

I only remember ‘89-‘95 and ‘94-‘06 so if someone had asked me today what the sprite logo is I would have thought of those. Time to take an ibuprofen.

Most of my friends try to grab the bill to invite me but I think I manage to invite them roughly half the time. Can’t be bothered to keep too close of a record except one friend never lets me pay and another always insists on splitting bills as he’s Swabian. Anyway, bills shouldn’t get in the way of friendship!

Thank you! Over in Europe the media was critical of Obama‘s drone strike campaigns just as it was critical of Bush‘s War on Terror. What a strange world it would be if criticism of US foreign policy were restricted or ignored because one administration was overall less disagreeable.
I have no idea what’s going on! Care to explain this to a European who wandered into this thread?

Also there’s a compulsory (long-term) care insurance of 3.6% in case you get so sick that you can’t look after yourself. So 13.6+3+3.6 =21.2% of income (as a single payer)
But I have no idea where the notion originated that 17.6% of your income is little to no cost.
Public health insurance is calculated at 14.6% of your income + ~3% extra (Zusatzbeitrag). You pay the full amount as self-employed, otherwise your employer covers half. Public insurance is so expensive it’s often cheaper to go private if you’re self-employed.
