see, this is a complicated one, because the whole "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" thing is super dismissive, but a call to action lands on the same road. And it's up to the individual to decide that they're going to DO something about how they're feeling, vs just acknowledging the hurt as some super valid, unchanging circumstance of their life.
I think the wording here could have been better chosen maybe, lol, but I do agree with you on the point that we have the ability to take action and correct those things as adults, and some people choose to just be unhappy forever instead.

American liquor can be less powerful than Eu liquor, for sure. Never tried any Canadian liquor but now I'm gonna have to find out! I will say, though I agree with the general sentiment here, that there are a lot of individual humans in the US who do know a lot about spirits, and they craft some really delicious drinks. They're just not on the list feeding in to our oligarch's pockets, so they're not included in all this nonsense.
try telling that group they're "not doing a single thing" and see what the reaction is.
