They can’t catch a break! This is so terrifying to watch bc they come up only to be completely obliterated by the next wave a sec later - can’t believe they made it tbh.
This place is awesome! Was just thinking about Madeline Island today - visited once & was completely enchanted. Can’t wait to go back to that area
Thanks for saying this - I don’t agree with her capitalist calculus - but I do think our school system needs to be better about exposing kids to multiple career pathways, including the trades. I do like a broad education as a base, but you can often make pretty good money in the trades. And yes the perception & respect of trade pathways needs to radically shift too.
He just wants to expand his cabal of corruption to the UN so he can become a more effective bully on the global stage - seems idiotic & unthinkable - then again *gestures at world*

He thinks he’s this great poet warrior leading the holy crusade when he’s just a delusional false prophet & profoundly incompetent. The unsettling thing is that - like Trump - he’s like a perfect walking caricature, a disturbing mashup, of all the worst threads in American culture & politics.

Being the sole caregiver of someone with mental health issues can really take a toll - to the extent that you can’t always be the person you need to be for them because you’re so depleted & struggling yourself. So make sure you seek support too, it will help you better support her.
I’m so sorry that’s the situation where you live, it sucks not being able to easily access services you need. It sounds like remote options might be something to consider for both of you if there’s nothing in-person available locallly right now. I know it’s not quite the same, but it’s still better to have access to some form of professional help for both of you while you wait for something in person. It will at least make it feel like you’re not alone in this & that will mean a lot.

Ok, as a mom…this woman is miserable. Nothing really prepares you for motherhood, let alone being a stay at home mom. She had absolutely no idea what she was signing up for & now she’s stuck. Anger & resentment are par for the course in this situation. There still needs to be some division of labor for outside work hours/weekends, that’s something couples have to negotiate. She’s venting to the internet - not a great decision - but it’s a cry for help.
