Ayatollah Kegsbreath: "Our troops, our American warriors deserve the credit for this day, but God deserves all the glory" – Just yesterday Pete said Trump deserved all the glory, but this is Holy War now
How can it "baffle" you at this point? You've seen the US behave like this your entire life, you've seen televangelism, you've seen this particular idiot and his performative Christianity both pre-politics and during. It's absolutely on brand, just a somewhat chintzier and more grotesque version of the brand.
So the troops killed and the planes that were shot down and crashed was when god took a bathroom break, or did he just not like those people in particular? The mystery of "God's plan" I guess... fucking drunken grifting Nazi.
USAF have not lost so many aircraft in air and on the ground destroyed or damaged in a long time. Weren't 2 refueler "tanker" AC destroyed and 6 damaged? More, of course, in those categories, including 'Sentry' surveillance & control AC.
So all the training and work of all the military was not worth acknowledging... his 'God' deserves the glory and credit? US have a religious leader running their War Department. YIKES!!
Yeah, God's collected plenty of glory in the past for murdering thousands of women and children; why shouldn't he get this as well? Better than piling guilt on our servicepeople for all the civilian deaths.
Psst, God isn't real. It's an invention so some people can force you to let them control you. If God existed and were at all morla, Orange Jesus would have been smashed by a giant hand from the sky.
If your military strategy relies this heavily on divine intervention it might be a sign that it sucks beyond all human reason. What's next? A nice little crusade on horseback?
Yep, we’ve got an megalomaniacal televangelist at the helm of our armed forces. He thinks he’s this great poet warrior leading the holy crusade when he’s just a delusional false prophet & profoundly incompetent. The unsettling thing is that - like Trump - he’s like a perfect walking caricature, a disturbing mashup, of all the worst threads in American culture & politics.
I bet, he doesn't really belive in God. It's all a Pascal's wager. Pretend to belive in God, just in case, as if an all knowing beeing wouldn't notice.
I come from a family full of LDS, southern baptists, new age christians, and catholics. They all band together when someone calls out their extremism, but, hilariously, christianity is so sectarian that all of them privately express how the others won’t get into heaven…
Same, the LDS will privately say “these Christians believe in the most insane things”. Like lady, LDS believes in getting their own godlike powers and planet after they die. They’re basically only a couple steps different than Scientology. Christians & Catholics are pretty boring honestly compared to LDS, JW, etc
Same. Sometimes I wonder if they understand my sarcasm when I dryly tell them "Oh well I'm definitely glad *you* figured out the right path out of everyone." 🙃😀
They're been doing it for years. No gay marriage because religion, no abortions cause religion, no divorces cause religion, banning other religions, wanting to round up other religions, execute non believers cause religion, force their religion into schools...
I was making myself depressed. I should form up a proper list though. At one point I remember seeing a comparison chart between extreme Islam and extreme christianity.
Why I just started calling it Christian sharia law. It's what it is. Its what they want. They just don't want the brown people version of it even though there is no meaingful difference.
Tell that to one of their faces by saying something like. "So you support Sharia law in america." and they will blow an absolute gasket telling you thats wrong fuck the muslims its a religion of violence blah blah blah. Then rattle off what it means how its what they want. Obviously get angry. Sometimes violent
I would not recommend doing this to a random redneck you meet alone in the world. They very likely will pull a gun and shoot you over it. You can't even say it to ones you know that are in the cult either really. They have killed their own children over that kind of argument. They really are just homegrown relgious extremist terrorists being played like a fiddle to vote and act against their best interest and faith.
That is a fundamental precept of religion. Attribute all good things to "god" and all bad things to something else. If a bad thing happened it was not the fault of god.
Or "he works in mysterious ways." It's frustrating because they say it like it's a trump card instead of just admitting that they don't know, or thinking more critically or that their logic might not make sense.

Almost makes the mullahs look sane.

The Mullahs also said that God was on their side. So is Pete Kegsbreath lying about God being on his side? /S

thx! good visual data!
I don't know how many KV series tankers are in service, but losing this many significantly impacts Air Force effectiveness.
valen00
I mean logically saying you don't know how many there are and then saying this many is a significant impact doesn't make a lot of sense.
