Every time I read about the potential evils of AI, I think of the actual evils of billionaires and (potential) trillionaires. Misalignment? Not doing things for the good of humanity? Harming political discourse? Concentration of power, wealth and influence? A wasteful allocation of resources? Destruction of leisure and livelihoods?

At uni doing Discrete math, it was very much about problem solving, in a way I hadn't felt when I was doing math at high school. Really enjoyed it and could see the applications as well.

I wonder if this will be easily and quickly named as a specific era of US history, or if it will be like Regan where people can look back and point to the start of a trend with massive impacts, but most wouldn't know or even agree after the explanation.

The difference is the precedent. Copying copyrighted books without paying has always been illegal. Training on copyrighted works is arguably allowed under copyright 'transformational use' - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformative_use. I don't think that transformational use was litigated, no precedent set either way.So next time, if they just paid for the content they wanted to train on they might not have to pay out so much money (buy all games on steam for example).
Maybe a helpful debugging + programming tool that costs nothing to include/keep in/make public. Looks like the actions move the character in all the ways you might want for a demo + to debug outfits

I had been thinking that this sort of content would work well as advertising for people on the spectrum. I've heard of Blackwing from watching Adam Savage, but it was a brand and that's all, now I've seen at least part of how it's made and if I saw it in a store I might buy one because I have a better idea of the craft involved in it.
If I remember right, this was for their pirating of the books, not a cost for training on them. Could be wrong
Arcane Ascension is fantastic, at least for the first few books - a nice change in the personality of the MC, he's cautious and prepares as much as possible. I also liked The Weirkey Chronicles by Sarah Lin, unique magic system and another MC with a different type of personality and background.
I think one of the benefits is that there are a lot of choices clearly laid out, in other genres it might be like picking which classes to sign up for (divination vs potions vs summoning), which missions to do or what larger actions to take. The best examples have equally good options that are different, and not an obviously correct choice and a bunch of terrible/boring options.
That sort of action looks a little cute because it's a huge costume, but I feel like it's a huge amount of work to try to move it like that

Different models will have different answers, the number of r's in strawberry was another one. The models improve (rapidly) and not all improvements are in all capabilities. One of the other examples I saw was 'the AI joke' which was 'why don't scientist trust atoms?' 'because they make up everything'. It's a good, solid joke and people don't go to LLMs to give them individual standalone jokes with no context, so it hasn't improved like writing python for the last year.
I hope he's doing well mentally. He seems like a fantastic guy and an excellent player, but some of the kindest people have their own troubles.

In Indonesia (where the church is) chicken is ayam. I could almost see prayers being finished with it, and if they did the communion with chicken instead of bread I could see more people being interested.
At a certain point, you couldn't make that money by working more or harder - it has to be leverage. If there isn't more work (or risk) involved, why would you say no to making more money?
In the case of mining, the whole system is based on extracting the value from a countries land. In Australia companies rarely pay much of that value back to the country in any sort of direct way. The closest thing is to have well paid employees that pay taxes. I have yet to meet a person working for a mining company that feels it's their calling and would do it for the love of the work.
