I have fat thimbs amd make many spellibg errors
I spent about a month as a cable guy when I was 19. Horrible HORRIBLE at it. But those few skills, wallfishin, drop runs, etc have been hugely valuable since then in every day life. I later became a huge computer nerd and my home network is damn near perfect. :D

On curves every tie plate has 4 spikes or screws to the tie and 4 to the rail (or 4 spikes to the plate and 2 clips if its that style). On straights you will commonly see 2 spikes per plate/rail. What I mean by plate is these. People think the rail goes right on the tie but these are in between. Hold the base of the rail and also spread the weight out better on the tie.
I are a train person and yes it can. Tracks are made to just be held in place till a train comes along. The weight of the train bearing down on the rail kinda solidifies the track in place but without the train there its on the easy side to be able to lay a rail over. We get cars on the tracks frequently here and before we are cleared to do track speed again, MofW has to come out and inspect alignment and any missing clips/loose spikes and misaligned tie plates. Rails are really wiggly flexible.
My wife has to get iron transfusions from time to time. Clear IV bag, BLACK liquid inside. Iron particles. Just to contemplate that tho. Metal helps blood carry oxygen somehow. O.o

Try droppin the framerate down instead and see what happens. I found when i "leveled up" that my brain didnt like smooth smooth framerates. 60fps is my butterzone no matter the screen size or rez.
