Carl von Clausewitz concludes that war is composed of three things; violence, calculation, and chaos. Without violence, calculation and chaos is politics as usual. Without calculation, violence and chaos is just a bar fight. Without chaos, violence and calculation is a genocide. And there is no chaos in Gaza, nothing is happening without being planned ahead of time by the IDF.
Nairobi is 2,800 miles away from Sparta. Boston is 4,600 miles away from Ithaca. Having a Kenyan play a Spartan is, geograhically, more justifiable than having a Bostonian play an Ithacan.
Ah yes. Queen Leda. Daughter of King Thestius. Son of Ares. Son of Zeus. Making Leda Zeus' great-granddaughter. Are we sure that Lupita Nyong'o can portray someone that inbred?

What the actual fuck else could Meatbook have possibly expected? Hell, the Zucc started Facemash as a way to nonconsensually rate the attractiveness of his female classmates.
No, actually, they were dogshit at war, and batted under 500 outside of coalition warfare. Spartiates had hardly any campaign experience and they had shitall logistics. You could collect random Roman farmers with a sack and end up with a more experienced, drilled, and able Military, and I say that as someone who fucking hates the Romans. No, the Spartans were good at propaganda and literally nothing else.
Most of your point is fair, but Troy did exist; we found it, and did so based on descriptions in the Iliad: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troy
I will *eat my fucking hat* if they make Achilles a ginger twink.
I'm mad at it because it's horribly inaccurate. Odysseus' helmet is described in detail in the Iliad as being constructed from rows of plates made of boar tusk. Giving him a generic vaguely-Roman-legionnaire-esque helmet is just an utter fucking cop out. GIMME THE PIG TOOTH HAT.
3Blue1Brown's Linear Algebra stuff is utterly fantastic. I have a Math degree. When I eventually start taking hostages in order to compel my school to let me TA Linear Algebra, I will encourage all the students to watch that series.

The problem with Mel Brooks making another movie is that so much of modern humor was informed by, and then evolved from, his work. The same humor would seem trite and outdated. And anyone he'd work with may well be too great a fan of his to critique him and anything he does. It would be like trying to coauthor a paper with Einstein in 1950.
#50 It is entirely possible to cook rice so good that other people remember it afterwards. Basmati rice, rice cooker, add some soy sauce and chili crisp. Sautee some garlic and some onions. Add a protein, shredded meat from a rotisserie chicken works best, and some more chili crisp and soy sauce, and some honey. Give it a sear. Add the rice once it's cooked. Give it a bit of a fry. Add just enough tomato sauce to sog it. Simmer on low for a couple minutes. Impress a date, and it's damn cheap.

Helen of Sparta is just over half god, and perhaps a pinch swan. Applying normal ethnic considerations to her is dumber than fuck. Also, what percentage of the cast was Mediterranean?
Because the poll isn't opinions of Donald Trump, it's opinions of *America*. Most Americans still like America. But everyone else now realizes that Americans, en masse, are dumb enough to hand over our capabilities as a superpower to a demented child rapist who would rather suck dictators' dicks than uphold our agreements with our allies. They don't just hate Trump, they hate *us*, for cause.

My understanding is that Ea-Nasir operated right at the end of a relative golden age of trade, and sourcing actual good quality copper was becoming totally impossible. The complaint tablets are the equivalent of complaining that your supermarket doesn't have milk when cowpox is running rampant.
You think you can eat what I estimate to be 8,000 calories in under an hour, by yourself?
I can eat an 11" frozen pizza from Costco by myself. That's 1,240 calories. 1,240 * ((28 / 11)^2) = 8,035 calories. Drink notwithstanding, that's over 4,000 calories per person in a single meal.
Will the textually accurate version of the Iliad feature a redhead twink Achilles?
Wasn't she basically harassed/blackmailed into it?
Why is Friedrich Nietzsche trying to seduce us?
Cuba had a positive opinion of the US?

Did the Math at one point. If you impute the age of the actors for the age of the characters when they played them to get the age of Rey's dad in the scene where they abandon her, you get that Palpatine sired him *after* the attempt on his life by Mace Windu et al.
If you want to argue that contemplating the sociocultural foundations of modern conceptions of sexuality gets in the way of queer solidarity and liberation, take it up with, I dunno, Judith Butler. You get to criticize my "ally cred" or whatever once you're personally responsible for making sure that more LGBTQIAA+ friends of yours have food to eat and a place to sleep than I have. The score to beat is three. Good luck.
The question is less "were Achilles and Patroclus gay?", and more "is calling Achilles and Patroclus gay a valid lens through which to understand their characters in the Iliad?", and the answer to that is "mostly". You have to come up with alternate answers for why Achilles has a son by Deidamia and is so enraged at the loss of Briseis. Madeline Miller's "Song of Achilles" takes interesting angles, even if not explicitly Homeric ones. Insert waffling about sexuality as a social construct here.
