I was working remotely back in 2022. Had a Russian feller on the team. One afternoon he simply said "I'm going out, might not be back for a while" and a few days later he logged on from a different country and apologised for having been out of touch. Said he only got through the airport because when the police turned him back, he went back to the ticket counter for a refund and rather than give him the refund, they walked him around to his gate. I bet it's a lot harder to get out now.

From ISW, in the same speech; "Putin claimed that Russia will fully implement its strategically significant development programs." Wunderwaffe. He's at the Wunderwaffe stage. Saying that Russia will win by magic.

If this takes off in the US, I expect it will be made illegal.

"I may not be old, but at least I'm not rude." You're very rude. I was agreeing with you and adding to your point, noting how some people consider flat screen TVs and mobile phones to signs of wealth today based on the luxuries of their own past, and your response was to call me a dick and be unpleasant.

Read it again. I'm AGREEING WITH YOU. People think the luxuries of their youth are still luxuries today. LIKE THE AVOCADOS. Not every reply you ever get is disagreeing with you. "Tell me, old man" is a literary device. It's not YOU. Not everything is about you.

Flat screen TVs. I still hear people saying that poor people can't really be that poor because they have a flat screen TV. Tell me, old man, when did you last see a CRT TV for sale in the electronics store? You can get them if you go to a specialist on the internet, but they are wildly expensive. Mobile phones, too; they say people with mobile phones can't be poor. None of these things are luxuries, old man; you're just so out of touch that just hearing you speak is a crime against humanity.

Not just talk, but talk with an American accent.

Ah, my first time with them. Not wanting to seem a rube, I expressed that I had experience withdrawing them from a lady. I didn't, but I figured it couldn't be that hard. How did it go? Well, tell me, are you familiar with the action of starting a chainsaw? Because I was.

If they were paying a fair share they wouldn't be rich.

"Investors." WTF did you think you were investing in? You knew it was a ponzi when you went in; you just never thought YOU'D be the sucker holding the bag.

Does not every human in the world who lives on land live on an island?

You know, there's no biological difference between the inside of my mouth and the inside of a woman's mouth.

An Israeli B2 visa is a ninety day tourist visa. Can also be used for business meetings.

There will be an enormous trade betting "yes" shortly before it happens.

FFS. Look at all the empty filling points. It's a long length of hose - just pull out enough to reach around your car. It's not magic.

Sparta. A nation of slave-holding child-rapists. I can see where you're going with this, yes.

Am I not led to believe that an effective nationalised medical system would actually cost the US peoples less, and produce better outcomes, than what it has now? If the US needs to make savings, there's an option right there.

She kind of went down a conspiracy rabbit hole, lost her audience and found another one that was not healthy for her, and has ended up being most famous for being the person people mistake Naomi Klein for (c.f. Naomi Klein's book "Doppelganger").

He didn't say "government." He said country.

The last movie I saw in the cinema. Went in with no idea what it was about, to a weekday afternoon showing in a recently refurbished cinema on Leicester Square. Decided it was probably the finest cinematic experience I would ever have, and I was satisfied with that. Got it done fairly early in life, decision made to not bother ever going again. In retrospect, I feel it was the right move and I don't regret it.
