"The English Wikipedia formally deprecated the use of The Grayzone as a source for facts in its articles in March 2020, citing issues with the website's factual reliability.[4][22] "

And after reading the wikipedia article, no wonder wikipedia has problems with accepting Grayzone as a source.

Just some balance: Palestine Action *has* attacked a police officer with a sledge hammer.

Thanks, here is a penny.

Britain has a greater investment in the creation of the Israeli state than possibly any other Western nation, so of course they're going to suppress anything negative about it.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

They really don't. Like, you can look at uk news sources and it's not suppressed.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I believe this is due to them making it illegal to either be nice to Palestine or mean to Israel.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Neither of those is illegal here in the uk.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Thank god for the Grayzone.

3 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 10

.....is this just a shitty joke or?

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Yeah, who else would tell us that Ukraine is actually a proxy war on Russia started by US biowarfare labs that secretly created COVID-19?

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

The only reason I constantly roll my eyes at "news" like this, is that they try so hard to appear to have the moral high ground, yet it's always about Israel. I haven't seen any of these folks say anything or do anything for Syria who bombed their own citizens, or Iran who slaughters their protestors. It's always hyperfocus on "Israel bad." -- which might as well be true, but the fucking hyperboly. Auschwitz? Really? No bias or sensationalization there?

The UK is certainly in dystopian territory nowadays

Pretty much, Labour are are a right wing conservative party now, hope is with the Green party now

And the current party in power was supposed to be the more left-leaning one. I'm still utterly baffled by how hard Labour shat their keks here; first time in power after 14 years of conservative Tory rule and this is how they play it.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Labour have been the red tories for a long time now, this time they're not even trying to mask it

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just can't imagine what the plan ahead is. Like, are they banking on enough Tory voters looking at the current state of Labour and going "I guess these people DO have my bigoted interests at heart after all! They have my vote!" or are they relying on enough Labour voters thinking "At least they're not as bad as the Tories/Reform!" They HAVE to know that most of the people, who voted for them last time feel like they've been had...

Or maybe not. Maybe they truly are as stupid as it seems.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lil of column A, with a hefty dose of "plan, what plan?"

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Labour are now a right wing conservative party, hope is with the Green party now

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aye, that seems about right. On an unrelated note, I can't help but notice that I've been replied to by both @RonnieSoak and @PonderStibbons2. Waiting for C.M.O.T. Dibbler to make an appearance any time now ;)

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@PonderStibbons is my original account but it's permanently banned from posting, comments and DMs because of the stupid community rules that I barely bent, can't chat with a human so just go round in circles with the AI. I still have Emerald and an extensive Fav's section that I can still add to do I still use that account unless I really feel the need to comment.

Too bad imgur is blocked in the UK because the UK wants to control what is seen there too.

Spread the news!

3 months ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 4

It's blocked because imgur were in trouble for not following the rules about the data children on their site and imgur choose to block the uk instead of facing other consequences like a fine.

Rolls that existed long before the horrendous online safety act.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The UK has been slipping towards being a police state for decades.

3 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Did not know that! Wow

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Some of us from the UK still manage to squeeze between the gaps by using a VPN. Using the Imgur website as backup to the app also helps.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Proton VPN has split tunneling so only the Imgur app on my phone is using it, thinks I'm in Canada because the app is super slow now in European countries. Fuck you Business Daddy.}

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pretty awful, had no idea. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gzxv5gy3qo Any other sites being looked at / targeted?

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nope, because the block is imgur's doing, not the uk. The uk does not block imgur; imgur blocks the uk.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm still here, can't believe I'm paying for a VPN for imgur.

3 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Im paying for a VPN for other.... reasons.. imgur and porn just happened to also end up included 🤣

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

VPNs are quite useful. You are best using one.

3 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Is that real? Like I’m really asking.

3 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

Yes, it is real. Just discovered this myself.
But then I remembered that the Brave browser has a private mode with an in-built Tor... and here I am, wasting my time on Ingur!

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sort of, it has to do with the new laws about minors using social media,Imgur doesn't implement age verification some it's blocked.

3 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I have to use a VPN. Hi, I'm in the UK, if my VPN turns off I can't see imgur.

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I think you mean you're in the Netherlands, right?

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Imgur is blocked in the UK. By Imgur. It's blocked by Imgur.

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

Its blocked because they can't guarantee you won't see boobies and therefore completely restricts access, unlike reddit for example that just cuts access to anything with an NFSW tag.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That would explain the insane dip in quality of user here...

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

The Irish might disagree...

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

You know, that's fair.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I do!

Thank you. That is cray cray. The internet as we knew it is gone. Take me back to dial up, BBS and ICQ.

"Uh oh!"

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree. I can remember personal websites were part of pools. You could hit "next" or "random" at the bottom of a page and it was like a surprise grab bag of what might come up.

Much more community on old internet.

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Geocities and shit! Hell yeah.
