As someone who also wants to see Putin die and burn in hell: He never said that they'll take Ukraine or Kyiv in 3 days. The "3 days" claim came up when Ukrainian defenders found tactical and logistical data of destroyed Russian units that showed that they had planned to take Kyiv in 3 days and then were supposed to be resupplied, so they had only supplies for 3 days with them. In the end it doesn't matter anyway. Putin obviously grossly underestimated Ukraine.
