I remember reading that it was absolutely normal to go back to the dealership after buying a brand new American car in the 50s-70s(?) because something would need fixing. That's why Japanese car makers became popular... The cars were built correctly from the get go.

I had a similar experience, though I would call it nipping. They love those crackers. I'm definitely going back again (but not in summer).
Pokemon Centers are everywhere. Itsukushima Jinja, near Hiroshima, is a gem. Nara Park is super cool with it's semi-tame deer. Kyoto's Bamboo Forest is excellent. I loved everything in this country. FYI It will be very hot in Japan, wear linen clothes and very good walking shoes.
