I genuinely assume that's by design. Setting up multiple flaming pieces with the right measurements would likely be very difficult, and probably end up looking super inconsistent. Using mirrored shots is pretty standard fair with all sorts of film techniques, though I agree in this instance it doesn't really land properly and looks more artificial instead.
Maybe I'm too sensitive nowadays since the whole polished and too perfect ai slop is popping up all around and hints of artificial enhancement trigger this reaction. On the other hand I think we're very overstimulated as well and subjectively I'd be happy to stumble over non enhanced things more often. I guess it's 'old man yells at clouds'-behaviour from my side as well. ;-)
