Java is the language a corporation ends up using because people don't get fired for choosing Java. It has plenty of problems. Python is a (terrible) language beginner developers use because it's easy to get going. Like Javascript. Except for reasons unknown to me, Python just sticks around even after people move on from being beginners. Javascript at least has the justification that it's the only real option you have for browsers. You have other options than Python.
I think you're vastly overestimating whatever "ad" this might amount to. It really doesn't matter when your president is busy trying to alienate every single last fucking ally, and threatening to invade a fellow NATO country on top. This is a Ukrainian win, as far as I'm concerned. The fact that it used US-produced hardware is just something that has to be overcome, given a few years, and more work on European-produced planes.

The rest of the world is civilized, so we generally don't want to see fighting. But I understand that the US is a less civilized place where, apparently, you feel the need to brag(?) that people in your sports are bigger assholes?

Even assuming this stupid strategy is more than just a single person spewing some shit, and is "successful," all it's going to do is lead to extremely repressive systems that more or less force women to have children. Even the systems that go down with the ship, so to speak, will just be replaced by those who, however brutally, refused to go down the path of extinction.

The issue with that is that people are great at saying that their field of expertise couldn't be replaced with AI, but all the others (that they really don't know anything about) could easily be replaced. Because, at this point, all they're doing with every move is reinforcing the notion that you either have nukes, or someone can come in and do whatever the hell they want.
