I am anti-abortion... but I think two very important things, #1 Women have a right to bodily autonomy and should be allowed to make that choice. I don't get to make it for them. #2 The best way to prevent abortions is providing better sexual health education, free contraceptives and free healthcare and assistance for women, as well as having a child support system that actually cares and supports children that are given up.

Weirdly back in the UK there was this really weird edge case where drivers could not be responsible. We used to drag a lot of "sealed" loads. Which had security seals applied at the loading point. Since we couldn't open and inspect if an incident occurred (and I know of at least once case where it did) the Driver wasn't responsible. That said outside of this rare case, the Driver was absolutely responsible for ensuring that the trailer and its load were secured.

So while I would love a world where we dont need military spending we dont live in that world and military spending itself isn't inherently bad it creates jobs and economic stimulus. The US could keep spending crazy money on tanks and planes and still fund bridges and schools they just find a lot of reasons not to fund things that arent jets
